View Full Version : Wedding First Dance Song
I'm trying to find the perfect punk first dance song at a wedding...obviously something slow and probably acoustic and yet fits with the situation.
any ideas?
thanks

Elliott Smith - Almost Over
It's acoustic, and the lyrics fit.

"When I Take Your Hand" is one of the best newly release wedding songs (http://www.shaunbarrowes.blogspot.com/) and another alternative is "You're All My Reasons" which also fits as a first dance song and both songs are from artist shaun barrowes.

I've always wanted Blue and Yellow by the Used... probably not what you're looking for, but yeah.

Does it have to be a punk song? If that's absolutely necessary than maybe an acoustic song from Justin Sane of Anti-Flag, 61C Days Turned to Nights is pretty good and 'romantic'.
If your going for more of a alt-pop-punk type of song I will point out the obvious choice (and good song as well) Rufio - One Slow Dance (which is electric but clean, not distorted at all, and fitting in the name and lyrics)

This thread is like a month old but I would've said that There Is by Box Car Racer would be an ideal song for that situation. It's punk, acoustic and romantic.

also 15 and most likely fat. No one gives a shit about The Used and if you do, then you're not mature enough for marriage.

"Clavicle" by Alkaline Trio is a popular one.

Of course I'm not mature enough for marriage. Ever heard of speaking theoretically?
And I assume you must a highly mature individual, calling people "fat" over the Internet. Classy.

My girl and I just declared our song to be "Fill Me Up" by Staind. Not the original full band version, but the Aaron Lewis acoustic solo version. YouTube it.
