I'm reading my philosophy book right now and it says that people who tend to be conservative are more likely to like star wars, and people who like star trek will probably be liberal. Let's see if it holds true on the boards. Reply Bitches.

I just finished watching all the Star Wars movies for the first time and I loved them but I've always been a Star Trek fan. If I had to pick, I'd choose Star Trek because it expanded better (the new Star Wars are shitty). I'm a liberal. Boo-yah it works.

conservatives and liberals are two "sides" in politics and every now and then this forum needs a calm thing looking at the shit we're into outside of politics. This is nothing important, just a question of interest...I wanna see if this lady is right or not.

I think your biggest problem with this is going to be how overwhelmingly liberal this board is, but so far it looks like more liberals prefer Star Wars, so I guess in that sense she is wrong.

Or they’re all just to embarrassed to admit they really like star trek...

I'm sorry, but Star Wars has gone down the crapper in the past years. Star Trek is just something that I enjoy more.

ya I really don't like the author of this book...she reminds me of bush in that she mentions 9/11 at the end of every topic regardless of how much of a stretch it is.

Really? I always thought it would be the other way around... and that's how I'm voting, I think economically I lean more conservatively, so Star Trek it is for me.

(i own a copy of the rough draft of the star trek: voyager pilot episode)

EDIT: Figures, I think I clicked the wrong box. Maybe you should've had a "Star Trek and Fucking Idiot" option.

Actually its not even close…… http://www.thewavemag.com/pagegen.php?pagename=article&articleid=24184 (notice number 3. They discribed you to the "T," didn't they?)

And Richter, to be honest, between the two I’d have to pick Star Wars. Not for political reasons, but because I see Star Trek as amounting to nothing more then a glorified space soap opera….But this really just amounts to the concept of picking ones poison, because the genre of “art” that is sci-fi motion-pictures is really one of the weakest and least original. Which is humorously ironic when ones looks at the scope of material the genre has to work with.

star wars and liberal. But since most people here are liberal, the results might be a bit skewed.

I like both so I guess that means I'm politically ambiguous.
