I heard this, oddly enough, during the pregame show of the super bowl, but Howie Long was mentioning that there is a box on you tax form where you can donate a dollar to campaign finance reform, and he said he'd like to see a similar box that you can check and donate money to the armed forces, specifically the troops themselves and their families. Sounds like a good idea to me, what do you all think about it?
As long as I knew that every cent went to the troops I wouldn't have any problems with it.

Absolutely, these guys have to go on some really shitty missions, equipped with about half the shit this country could supply them with and on top of that they have to be away from their families for horribly extended periods of time and get paid next to nothing.

Sounds good to me. I always wonder how much of the money that is given to the troops actually goes to the troops, for instance, how much money goes to the troops on those support our troops magnets and stickers?
If I payed taxes, I would agree 100% with this.

0% goes to the troops. The guy who made it is making a killing and it sucks dick. But all the men and women in our armed services see the stickers and feel good about themselves. So if you can make a service-members day by showing that yellow sticker, please do. I speak from experience, it is worth it. love, peace, chicken grease
