Tooth & Nail, and Solid State are like brother and sister record labels. which one do you find listening to more because of the better band line up?

for example,
Solid State: Oh, Sleeper; Norma Jean; He Is Legend, August Burns Red, The Chariot
Tooth&Nail: Emery, mewithoutYou, The Almost, MxPx.
and yes, some bands are listed under both (ex. Underoath.)
I don't like any of those bands really, except MxPx for the nostalgic value of listening to them when I was like 10. Norma Jean is ok I guess but sometimes the entire song just sounds like a breakdown and it gets boring faaasst. Plus aren't those both christian labels? Fuck that.
tooth and nail.
ive never heard of solid state
tooth and nail = copeland and number one gun. solid state = nothing.

T&N had a handful of great bands - Starflyer 59, Juliana Theory, Fine China, Luxury, Havalina Rail Co. - that never really got the respect they deserved. Nowadays the good bands are being crowded out by boring scene crap. Solid State was never really worth listening to except for the samplers, because let's face it, if you've heard one song by a Solid State band you've pretty much heard their entire career.

haha votes at 100% for T&N. on dedicated hardcore site though, it would be all for solid state. it all depends on your tastes. i love tooth, though.

i love the heavy stuff so for me its solid state, but i cant argue with tooth and nail. i absolutely love: mewithoutYou, copeland, starflyer 59, underoath (they are on both), search the city, run kid run, thousand foot krutch, and the classic crime.
pretty much all of it

T&N for Mewithoutyou, Jonzetta, Anberlin, and MXPX.
well seeing as SS is simply an imprint (or sublabel u can call it) of T&N where they host their heavier artists...this poll is asking if u prefer the heavy or more mainstream acts on their roster. it should also be noted that T&N is a christian label releasing music of christian artists, whereas SS concerns itself with metalcore bands, not saying they aren't christian (see below crossover artists), but they dont pigeon-hold themselves to signing religious acts.
this does lead to some crossovers such as underoath and as cities burn.

Tooth & Nail.
Anberlin, Further Seems Forever, Emery, Mae, MeWithoutYou, The Almost, Ruth, Surrogate, Family Force 5, Dead Poetic, Number One Gun, The Fold, MxPx, Underoath (also on SS), Copeland, The Classic Crime, Far-Less, Waking Ashland, Craig's Brother, Run Kid Run/Sidewalk Slam, and on and on and on...
They've put out A LOT of albums that I love.
Some of the lesser known bands that people desperately need to listen to are Far-Less, Ruth, & Surrogate.
