I was at this show tonight in Richmond. Senses fail literally played about 8 songs from their new CD. They were good, but nobody really knew them.

Their last 2 songs were One Eight Seven and Can't Be Saved. After they walked off stage, the crowd stood there for a good 10 minutes cheering for another song, but alas, no encore :(

Dance Gavin Dance wasn't really my thing at all...waaaay to generic/shitty singer.

Foxy Shazam was interesting as always. Not a huge fan of their music, but their live energy is so over the top.

WHERE THE HELL WAS SKY EATS AIRPLANE??? I have no idea, but they didn't play.

The Number 12 Played a good mix of songs, about 7 or 8 total. They were really energetic and interacted with the crowd alot. Jesse stagedived a couple times and later climbed up in the rafters while justin ran out into the crowd and continued his part. Then Jesse jumped down and moshed with us for the rest of the song! I can't remember the setlist exactly, but it was something like (again, no order):

2 New songs
Don't Get Blood on My Prada Shoes
Jay Walking Backwards
Sleeping With The Fishes, See?
Texas Dolly or Devil's Dick Disaster (I'm sorry, I'm pretty sleep deprived and got those mixed up because of the similar-ish intros..but they def played one of the 2)
ended with Proud Parents Convention Held at the ER

the new songs were absolutely AWESOME! definitely pumped for the new record.


All in all, an solid show. I wish Senses Fail hadn't played as many new songs, but I guess it was worth the money to be able to say I was one of the first people to hear the new songs live. There were waaaay too many obnoxious chicks and for some reason about 10 wasted frat-boy types that made the crowd experience for SF than stellar, but it was a decent night and #12 more than made up for anything SF lacked.

I can't wait to see/hear Senses Fails new stuff, the cd is incredible if you haven't got it yet. I can definitely tell a lot of songs on there will make for a badass show

Ive seen them live with Kurt and he sings the old songs just as well as the new songs. I guess the old songs dont have the word fuck in them enough

If you're on the edge about seeing this because of Buddy's vocals: DO IT! I've seen them 4x before tonight, none of which were anything to write home about. I don't know what changed, but they blew me away tonight - perfectly on key, every instrument precise and raw sounding, and just bursting with energy. Amazing show.

Yep, I did. You know, I actually DL'ed a few songs off Ruckus to see if I would like them prior to going to the show, and thought they sounded pretty terrible. But aside from the last two songs they played, they put on an absolutely bitchin' show. I was really impressed. The lead singer is one awkward looking dude, and he seemed pretty apologetic that they weren't playing old stuff.

i live in jersey and their final show was tonight and am so so pissed i wasn't able to go!

i went tonight, which was the last night of the tour. solid show. sky etas airplane were the best out of the 3 openers. i kinda feel bad for dance gavin dance, they're a shell of their former self. i can't see them lasting much longer. as for senses fail, they completely killed. somehow, i've gone four and a half years without seeing them; the last time was skate and surf 04. they had total control of the crowd and it was just a good time. weird seeing jason black playing bass for them. senses fail is 3/5 themselves, 1/5 midtown and 1/5 hot water music. that's so awesome. here's senses fail's set, in correct order

it seemed like too short of a set, it lasted about an hour and it went by really quick :/ but bite to break skin was the song of the night, easily. the ending was so epic with buddy on his knees and the crowd holding him up and everyone screaming the lyrics. so awesome.
