has anyone read this? i'm reading it now for philosophy and i have to say that i am really into it. i mean its not the most exciting writing by any means but i keep on reading because i want to see how he ends his arguments. it really gets me to think.

its cool how all his arguments are centered around a convo socrates had.

Yeah I've read it twice, and I admire it but really it frustrates me because sometimes, they'll really quickly decide on a definition for something or state something as true (when in reality it's very debatable) and then use that as the basis for upholding an argument. And while I think the Elenchus can be a useful philosophical tool, it definitely shows its weaknesses in the Republic.
