I'd babble on and on about how great their performance was, but you should already know these guys put on an amazing show. "The Employment Pages" and "Champagne From a Paper Cup" were pleasant surprises in the set list, but I'd say they had a good balance of old and new. Tegan & Sara were direct support with City and Colour as the opener. My friend was late out of class, so I was mad I missed City and Colour. I'm not too familiar with a lot of Tegan & Sara's stuff, but they put on a solid show and got the crowd going. Here's the set in order...
The Employment Pages
Your Heart Is An Empty Room
The New Year
Why You'd Want To Live Here
Crooked Teeth
A Movie Script Ending
Company Calls
Grapevine Fire
Soul Meets Body
I Will Follow You Into The Dark
I Will Possess Your Heart
Cath...
We Looked Like Giants
Long Division
The Sound of Settling
Bixby Canyon Bridge
--------------
Champagne From A Paper Cup
Title and Registration
Expo '86
Tiny Vessels
Transatlanticism
Only disappointment was no "Marching Bands in Manhattan"... However, this was probably the best encore you could ask for.
