View Full Version : Worst Movie to Watch with Your Parents?

What's the worst Movie you could ever watch with your parents? You know what I'm talking about, those movies where there's some kind of sex scene, and you feel really uncomfortable? For me, I made the mistake of watching Superbad with my mom. Most awkward hour and a half in my life.

Anyway everytime he brought up I had to make an excuse to not watch it. Oh, jesus I watched that one with the whole family. There's one scene where Borat and his like fat friend (can't remember his name) are naked running around in a hotel beating each other with dildos, I think it was. All through this, they're penises were clearly visible.

My dad bought The 40-Year-Old Virgin for me when it came out on DVD. He decided to pop it in after seeing that Steve Carrell was in it. I think he stopped at about fourty-five minutes in. Not because it was awkward, though, but because my little sisters were in the same room.
Not awkward for me, but I imagine my aunt was wondering what she got in to after she took me to see South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut when I was ten. I remember renting it on video after it came out, and she got mad that I was trying to watch it for some reason.

Bullet-Tooth Tony's dialogue in Snatch about the pussy and withering cock and balls has always been an awkward scene to sit through with my mother, but it hasn't stopped either of us from watching it.
My friends wanted to watch whichever American Pie (started with the kid killing his grandmother by ejaculating on her in the living room) with my mother present, but I wasn't going to let that happen.
Other than that, I can't think of a lot of awkward movies that I have seen with my mother; just awkward movies I've seen on my own and would hate to see with my mother.
Like Trainspotting, A Clockwork Orange, or this one really bad horror movie with David Schwimmer that I think was called the Hotel.
I don't usually think it's extremly awkward to watch movies with sex in it but it was when I saw Desperado with my dad. I can imagine movies like Y Tu Mama Tambien with your parents being awkward.

I was just in the "Wes Anderson" thread and someone mentioned The Squid and the Whale. That movie's about these parents that really fuck up their kids lives through divorce and manipulative behavior. My parents got divorced when I was 13. I watched this movie on DVD with my mom. It may not be the "worst movie to watch with your parents" ever, but it was incredibly uncomfortable to sit through with my mother. She was silent through the whole thing and afterward I remember it was really quiet for a long time before she asked me, "is there anything you want to talk about?" Haha...

I wouldn't say it's Woody Allen's best, per se, but definitely one of his outright funniest. If we were going for his best movies, I'd go with Hannah and Her Sisters or Annie Hall. But "everything you've ever wanted to know..." is one of those movies that is just so classically funny. the bit with gene wilder and the goat (or was it a sheep? it's been at least 4 years since I've last seen it) was so dirty but so hilarious.

My friend made a t shirt out of the scene where he's pointing into the mirror.

I watched Superbad with my dad and the part where Seth's pants get bloodied (won't spoil it for the 2 people on this forum who haven't seen it), my dad said "Hey, that's how I met your mom!". Cringe worthy right there.
What the hell does that even mean?
I saw Transformers in theaters with my grandmother. The talk about masturbation was weird.

I've only seen it on TV, so I didn't know that. And I'm the same way when it comes to watching people who aren't fully clothed with your parents. Luckily my mom never watches anything with me, and I only watch anything PG or PG-13 rated with my dad, but even then cursing is awkward too.

hahah, tell me about it. I get so weirded out when people swear around my parents. I was in a store once with my mom and these two guys passed by and, I kid you not, all I could hear from them was 'my cock, your cock, it doesn't really matter, as long as it's cock'. They passed closer to my mom than me and I hid behind a shirt and tried to contain my laughter.
lol understandable. Also, while on the topic of Love Actually, I have to express how much Laura Linney's character makes me sad. She was about to score a hot guy and her poor brother called. This. A few years ago me, my dad, and my younger brother were at this video game store, and this girl and two guys were swearing so loud and so much. No I'm dead serious. I had no memory of nudity in Love Actually and in Amelie haha. And of course some people show way too much in public, but it's completely natural like when you're actually having sex. The bra thing in so many movies/series is completely bullshit. Like in sex and the city, Carrie always wear a bra. She's a sex columist and she can't even lose the bra! I just don't get it haha.

Hahaha nah, they re-edited it the year after according to imdb so there's a cut version. Oh it she? Cool. I love Kill Bill and Daryl Hannah is awesome in it.
I wanna see I Am Curious yellow/blue though, because it was completely banned in america for 2 years.
