Yes, they're great, but the last album (from last year?) was slightly disappointing. The Cat and the Cobra is fucking amazing.
Great live show too. Tim is a very energetic frontman.

i didn't really listen to that last album very much. my roommate spun it too much so i kinda started to hate it by association.
i really want to see them, the inches dvd is hilarious and awesome.

This is what everyone tells me about the DVD and it only feeds my urge to see it.
When I saw them four years ago, Tim was dressed up as a pornstar version of William S. Burroughs and got into the crowd and made out with my then-girlfriend (I was still in the closet and she was my beard). It was kind of cool.

post punk, gang of four, or if you find yourself listening to bloc party and franz ferdinand and wondering "is it possible to make this kind of music sound good?"
Let's Stay Friends did not disappoint.

As sordo has a bunch of albums or EPs, not sure which, what would be the best three to start with?

Let's Stay Friends, released last year, I've found is their most accessible. Start there. It's not their best work, but a great starter. LSF's best album is The Cat and the Cobra.
Let's Stay Friends was a huge surprise in how great it was.

I agree. Too bad my external hardrive isn't working/possibly crashed so I really don't have any music on my computer. Too lazy to upload CD's right now.

My sister listened to these guys back when I was a younger lad and she's way cooler than me. I'll give them a listen.

Is she from Michigan? If so, she's not cool be default.

We're originally from California so she's even exempt from the Michigan uncool law.

Touche. I was going to slip in the fact that I'm from Montreal and later Toronto if you tried to turn that on me...but then I realized I'm still lame, despite not being from this cesspool of a state (or this country, for that matter).

I downloaded this randomly. SG rarely (lie) steers me wrong. Not bad, yet to fully appreciate it though. That might take a little.

But they may never break up, so that may never happen. Are we doomed?

What would you recommend that's not on The Cat and the Cobra?
