Actor Josh Brolin (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000982/) has been tapped to join the league of celebrities playing action heroes on the big screen - he's in negotiations to star in a film version of comic book classic Jonah Hex.
According to Variety, Brolin is in talks to take on the lead role in the movie adaptation of the popular 1970s DC Comic.
The No Country For Old Men (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0477348/) star is a favourite for the title role of Hex, a former alcoholic and confederate soldier-turned-bounty hunter.
Brolin will be in good company if he takes on the role - other actors to bring comic book heroes to life include Iron Man (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0371746/)'s Robert Downey Jr. (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000375/), Batman's Christian Bale (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000288/), and Spider-Man (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0145487/) star Tobey Maguire (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001497/).

This guy's career was down in the dumps 2 years ago, he should be calling the Cohen brothers everyday thanking them. It's good to see though, I defiently think hes talented.

hmmm i had never heard of the comic book but seeing as it drew inspiration from The Outlaw Josey Wales i'm interested. that's one of my favorite Eastwood movies. i might have to find some of these comics before i see it.

Damn, perfect casting of the character. Brolin is on fire, but seriously, they're adapting Hex before getting to all kinds of far more mainstream friendly books. Very interesting choice, but I guess everyone is trying to snag all the properties they can.

I know it's hard to believe, but there was a thread on this already. A very, very short thread if I remember correctly. Josh Brolin is awesome pitch perfect casting for this though. Nailed the lead, plus Malkovich is always great and Megan Fox is about as hot as hot can get.

Despite how shitty this movie looks, Josh Brolin looks like he will be the only saving grace. Good god, I cringed everytime I heard Megan Foxes lines.
