its defiently worth buying it because every time that song is sued or played you will get money back in royalties, so it might even end up after a while, that you will actually make money on buying the rights to the song. and even if you dont make money, you still own an elvis song.

Youre not making money back on this song. First of all, its an old Elvis song that wasnt released. If it wasnt released, most likely it wasnt a classic. This song has no gaurentee to be anywhere decent. Its also basically has never been heard before, and theres a good chance it wont get much exposure. So i cant picture it selling a lot of rights and being played on the radio a whole bunch. On top of that, you're only in for half of the rights, you split it with some other guy. So you only get half of the nickel you would get if it played on some random radio station.

Doesnt the auction say unreleased, so how much are you really going to make on royalties, if this song was actually something that was making money and the owner was recieveing royalty checks do you really think he/they would be selling it. In the auction itself towards the bottom of the page there are some Q & A's with the seller and he actually states that you would have to pay some royalities.

if anyone had the money, it would be a smart investment.....license a bunch of other elvis hits and include a never before released track.........theres plenty of nutty elvis fans, and coupled with the fact that a large majority of them have never heard this song, you would make a nice chunk of change.....not nearly as much had you owned 100% of the track, but enough to make the purchase worth while.
