damn i've been waiting for this debut for quite some time. definitely picking this up today after class. I love The Bloc Party E.P. and have heard really good things about the new record. Everyone should really get into this band,

The rest of their music doesn't sound like this track. This is just the disco edit of their last single. Don't base your opinion of this band on this one track. Check out the standard "banquet". I don't have the link but i think you can find it on the SXSW site. just kinda search around there, i think i saw it around there a few weeks ago.

well the bravery is amazing, i'm in love with them, but kasabian has been getting lots of coverage lately from stuff like Spin and MTV, so i was just saying they're one of those "hype bands". you know, one of those indie bands that mainstream media outlets will try and push in order to give them more indie cred.

But duuh, it's the remix of the song. Don't know why they put up that though. Put the original instead.

And finally the hype has hit ap.net, the hype of summer 2004. But "Banquet" was THE dance song of 2004, I can tell you that for sure. But the album is so-so, not as good as I expected it to be.

Interesting, I was listening to Silent Alarm when I read this....go figure.

The bass part reminds me of the "Party Boy" scenes from Jackass, but the song is also pretty catchy. Sounds like the Talking Heads and Franz Ferdinand.
