Roommates

So we're about two-three months into the semester at this point. How is everyone enjoying their roommates thus far? Any humorous stories/interesting compromises/etc?

my room mate just joined a hardcore band last week and now he spends a lot of the day 'practicing' screaming in his room which is directly across from mine. : /

i live with three really good friends from high school... we were coming home from a club and took one of my roomies cousins out bc it was his 18th bday... i gave him a shot called "***** with a gold tooth" its a disgusting mix of jaeger and gold... he had 5 well its time to go at like 230... we pile 9 people very uncomfortably in a car that usually sits 5... well young gun spews all over one of our friends who is 5'3 235lbs... the entire car smells of jaeger and fat boy is covered in brown vomit in his white polo... the young gun then continues to vomit on the stairs leading up to the apt, the apt balcony, one of the bathroom floors and in the shower

My roommate's girlfriend now practically lives with us because she's afraid of her "scary, black roommate". I'm not sure whether to be offended that she's afraid of black people or be honored that she's not afraid of me.

My roommate has lost his key 3 times already. This past time, he took out the loaner key and lost that! While I was sleeping, they changed the locks on our door. Apparently that's the procedure they have to follow. Two notes were left on our door. One said that my roommate (Jon) had to pay $50 for labor and costs, while I had to pay nothing--I just had to bring the slip to the front desk for a new key. Still a hassle and still an idiot roommate.

On the plus side, I helped myself to some of his percocet because I felt like it was only fair, being required to put up with his constant idiocy and whatnot.

Goldschlager and mini-thins (truck-stop speed) = a really bad night to remember.

I cannot even smell Goldschlager (cinnamon schnapps) without wanting to vomit.

My roommate's a nursing major, and she has to get up at like 5:30 in the morning for clinicals. Which means the room is quiet at like 10:00pm. A bit of a downer.

That's kind of like what we have here. People with similar scholarships are grouped together. I'm a Teaching Fellow so I have to room with another Teaching Fellow all four years and all the Teaching Fellows have to live on the same hall. Since there are only twenty-six Teaching Fellows (only seven of us are guys) my roommate options are limited.

I think they try to do that in the larger dorms, but I'm in the dorms where they throw everyone else, so we have a mix of a lot of majors.

I have the perfect rooming situation this year. A single in a suite. There's always people around, but, at the same time I can have my privacy.
