Man, I'm always so late on these. Here's whats good this week that YOU should be spinning.
The Agony Scene (http://www.theagonyscene.com) - I've been listening to their debut CD a lot, it's just great metal. They play it hard and fast, and I have a feeling their new CD is going to be one of the best metalcore albums of 2005. See for yourself by going to our featured downloads and downloading a brand new song by them called "Scapegoat."
Norma Jean (http://www.normajeannoise.com) - Personally, I couldn't stand their first album, but I feel like this new CD is a vast improvement from them. Sure, it's less chaotic, there's more structure, and there's more screaming and less breakdowns, but overall it comes across as more polished to me.
Comeback Kid (http://www.comeback-kid.com/) - We've been playing this CD a lot on our radio show, and it's the best thing I've heard from Victory in quite some time. A great mix of old school punk and hardcore, it's totally refreshing to the scene.
Cruiserweight (http://www.cruiserweight.com/) - What a pop-punk album. Again, a band I'd never really listened to until my friend kept playing them on the radio, so I thought why not? Well produced, catchy as hell, very very solid stuff.
Hit the Lights (http://www.purevolume.com/hitthelights) - I reviewed this band this week and there was a lot of backlash to my "contreversial" score. Well guess what, scores aren't everything. Yea, they do sound like Fall Out Boy, but they're catchy as hell and if you love the genre, then you'll love this Chicago band, period.
Also guys, don't forget about my radio show, details are in my signature - we'll be having some big guests coming in the following weeks, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
