Hey guys and gals, I haven't posted these in a couple weeks, mainly because I forget to. But anywho, hope ya'll had an enjoyable week, I had the oppurtunity to go to a few shows this week and here's SOME of the bands that I saw.

Spoken (http://www.purevolume.com/spoken)-Last night I saw these guys in a tiny coffee shop in Evansville, In. They're not afraid to speak their religion and they play an AMAZING live show.

Side Walk Slam (http://www.myspace.com/sidewalkslam)-Tooth and Nail veterans, and some pretty damn good pop punk. If you like some early MxPx, give em a listen.

Slack (http://www.purevolume.com/slack)-This band has become a favorite of mine right now. Just some good rock music, no screamo, no whiny emo bullshit, just rock, you kids might learn something from this music.

Rich Creamy Paint (http://www.myspace.com/richcreamypaint)-My girlfriend wanted to recommend these guys so I'll let her do this. Supposedly this band was voted the 'the hottest band in summer of 2004, within the Nashville scene'. Whatever that means, but give em a listen.

Society's Finest (http://www.purevolume.com/societysfinest)-Hardcore band from Texas. They've been around for nearly a decade and they're still going strong. Once on Solid State Records, they are now on Hand of Hope Records.

Peanut Butter and Jelly (http://www.purevolume.com/sotheysay)-If you don't like peanut butter and jelly you're an alien I tell you!!! PBandJ has made my life complete this past week, with a low budget and not much time...mmmmmm!!!!

Lent-I gave up chicken for lent. Some of you should try giving up Myspace

maybe just give up myspace for good...god, don't get me started on how much i hate myspace. it's almost as bad as those ratings communities on livejournal. mostly scenesters who take the same goddamn picture in their bathroom twenty times and expect everyone to say "oh my god you're so hot! i wish i looked like you"

i'm not at all; i've just always hated myspace. i've run across those kind of people [the kind i described] constantly. i didn't say EVERYONE does that, but a lot do.

i also dislike myspace, and i find it hilarious that all your scene points went down the drain. i'll give you a little pick me up

haha, thanks.
i never noticed myself coming off as elitist; i've been noticing others doing it a lot though, especially some with thousands of 'scene points' and it's been getting annoying. i guess my annoyance with that and my hatred of myspace came off to people (scott especially) as me thinking i'm better than others. it's kind of funny, but not in a hah hah way, because it couldn't be further from the truth.

anyway...this was pointless, i know.

yeah i hate side walk slam... well not hate, but you would think after like 2 years they'd at least have a new cd... and maybe that's what they're working on, but they were soooo 8th grade...

Side Walk Slam are great. I really like those guys, they write fun music. Very catchy. Yea, we've all grown up from pop punk, but sometimes a band just sticks with you. SWS is that band with me, and I hope they never leave
