The Matches.
I love them both, but The Matches, hands down.
They do something different with each record, and it always sounds great.

they are alike in the fact that they are on the same record label (Epitaph)...and both bands are sorta odd members of that label....i guess that's the reason

agreed. i never really got into Even If It Kills Me, but in all honesty had sorta lost interest in them by the time it came out and probably didn't really give it a fair chance

The Matches. I think they're really good at getting the visual aspects and the music itself to go together to enhance the live show. Shawn is such an awesome artist and writer and is able to make everything he does unique and interesting.

E.Von Dahl Killed The Locals vs I Am The Movie both i really liked, but I'd say MCS...IATM is MCS at their best, both albums are great though.

Decomposer vs Commit This To Memory I'd say The Matches, Decomposer is probably one of my favourite ever albums. Whereas, although CTTM was cool, i don't really listen to it anymore (Time Turned Fragile is amazing though)

A Band In Hope vs Even If It Kills Me both didn't live up to my expectations, but I'll go for The Matches just because MCS seemed to have lost a lot of the flair that made them great on I Am The Movie and seem to sound like every other band now. However, their were some tracks on ABIH that were terrible (If I Were You, Future Tense).

The Matches are far more musically talented and inventive than MCS; however, MCS has a special place in my heart. I went with the matches because the question was which was the better band, not which did I like better. At the moment, though, I'd probably say I LIKE the Matches better. That's subject to change, though.
