i know tate said they're not, but...

SEPARATE WAYS: Blink-182 releasing a statement saying the band is going on "indefinite hiatus" to spend time with friends and family and that there are no set plans for the band to begin working together again.

It doesn't mean they broke up, they are just taking a break. I really don't blame them, now they will have time to enjoy all that money they did make.

I always knew the day would come when I would read something like that... man this sucks, alot. Theyve got to do one more album, I just cant imagine Blink being totally done. :(

blink got me into music, tom inspired me to pick up guitar, blink fucking changed my attitude about things. after watching their dvds... i stopped getting pissed when people called me a bad name. i developed a sense of humor. i learned new swear words. this cant be the end. it cant...

I cant belive how sad I feel just from hearing this... its ridiculous. Blink feels like a part of my fucking life, and has been for the last 5 years. If they actually do say that its totally over, I hope they would go on a farewell tour. They owe it to us after just springing somethine like this on everybody.

Here's whats going to happen:
They're all going to spend time with family.
Travis WILL be promoting/touring for the new Transplants album.
We MAY see something from Boxcar Racer.
And I would not at all be suprised to see any of them producing albums by other artists or writing, recording, and/or producing their own solo albums.

This isn't the end of these guys, like they said, it's just a break. I guarantee you some of those things I mentioned will happen.

Yeah it is dissapointing, but life goes on. I really love Blink and have been a fan for the last 6 years or something. But all I hope is that they keep putting out good music outside of Blink 182. I loved their last album and felt they were definitely on the way up again. And I really adored Box Car Racer and hope another album comes out again from them. I'm not too crazy about the Transplants, but hey.

I know this isn't the last we will hear from them. But still, I was just thinking about it the other day how they could become legendary if they make another solid album. I feel everyone else's pain.

they named the last album 'blink182' thats like a goodbye thing. like this is final. and they finally got there arses to the uk to do a tour. i knew it was gonna happen but its still sad.

Wouldn't be too great for the genre if it happened, but the likelihood of Blink letting go of the wheels is pretty slim. Band have been on form since they returned and the new record is pretty hyped up. Also Mark entertains us with his tweets.
