The best part about this is that MCR is the only support act for Green Day, which means shitloads of songs from both bands.

not really. NFG were greendays only support over here, and only had a half horu set. and greenday only played their 'standard' set. i cant wait til everyonereasliese the album 'american idiot' was a total flue. Green Day are amazing...but their next album wont do it justice for their new found fans, and all 'old skool' fans...we know reenday will end on a high....

"Boulevard" is really getting over played. i always skip that song on the album. when the hell is "Holiday" gonna be released?? i heard they pushed back the release date of "Holiday" because "Boulevard" is still on top of the charts. can anyone confirm this??

Wasn't this the tour that Jimmy Eat World and Taking Back Sunday were on, too?
I've seen My Chemical Romance in venues that would take up about twenty seats at the Taj Mahal.. I'm in no rush to see them sitting down and at outrageous ticket prices.
I guess it's a good thing when a local NJ band becomes big enough to open for a popular artist such as Green Day.. but, as always, it's just weird when you've seen them in such an intimate setting.
Though Green Day is certainly talented, and they are certainly an excellent rock band, they are also a pop icon--which forces them to play these huge arenas. My Chemical Romance is climbing this hill (with a huge push from the those brothers of Warner), and I suppose this is only natural. Their first single from Three Cheers is infectious, catchy, and has certainly propelled them higher than I would have ever imagined.
These same feelings hit with the Honda Civic Tour of 2004--seeing Thrice play an arena was just somewhat unbelievable. Congratulations to the boys on the accomplishment, but you can't help to feel somewhat strange when just a few weeks earlier you were seeing them perform private acoustic shows, bullshitting with them about the old NES, hanging out...
I suppose as punk-pop and emocore music become more popular, it is only inevitable that many of the best underground bands explode into giant arenas. As their sound reaches more people, they make more money, plan bigger tours.. and you can't help but know that they deserve it. But it doesn't change the fact that the fans of these bands from day one feel somewhat strange.
Congratulations to MCR on all their new found glory--these boys earned it.

Basketcase: March 21st was the last I heard in reguards to the Holiday single. I can't remember how, but I have the vid on my pc, and it's pretty fun. I'm happier than a big in shit that Green Day's getting mega polpuar. Easiest way to avoid getting the album ruined? DONT LISTEN TO FM RADIO! Invest in XM ;)
And Jason, didn't we establish this weeks ago?

This is the infamous 'second leg' of the US tour in which the band goes to the places it DIDN'T go to the first go 'round.
You major marketers had your time, now it's time for us pig-farmers and backwater hicks to rock the fuck out to Green Day.

they're going to be in Calgary on the 20th of May as well... just noticed that wasn't on the list.
I don't like Greenday or MCR enough to pay $50+ for a 'Dome show (aka, a sit-fest)

i think it's really funny that every other place is HUGE arena tours...and then you go to massachusetts and they're playing at UMass Amherst in a tiny little place.
bummer that it's already sold out.
