A somewhat recent message posted on their message board from Dave Hamelin (drummer of The Stills (http://www.thestills.net)) indicates that he will be leaving the drums and moving up to share vocals with Tim. Colin of the band Sea Ray will be replacing him on the drums. Head to the replies to read the message.

hello, this is dave. i'm in the stills and i want to say thank you to the people who put up this site and that it's very touching. We are now pretty much done with playing shows and we have already started working on our new record. we go into Studio Piccolo in Montreal on march 1st and we have no idea when we'll be done. the record, to which we have no title yet, will be released either in the summer or in the early fall. Yes, we do have a new drummer and his name is colin and he is also in a band called sea ray. in the future i will be singing all the songs that i write but i will not start singing the songs i wrote on logic, tim will still sing those. most of your favorite bands like the Beatles, the Clash, Fleewood Mac, etc. have two or more singers and so we do not think it will be weird. most people won't be able to tell the difference anyways...liam is not leaving the band either. Us and our fellow canadian/montreal rocker Sam Roberts have recently built the best jam space ever in St-Henri and that's where we'll be working out our new stuff. we have eight songs that we are working on at the moment and these are the preliminary titles :
1- Lonlieness Creeps Through My Bedroom Window
2- Pretty Nuclear
3- Oh Shoplifter
4- Baby Blues
5- Halo the Harpoons
6- These Things Are All That I've Got
7- In the Beginning
8- Destroyer
Thanks for listening and we'll let you know when any new stuff comes up. dh

I love Logic Will Tear Us Apart, but in all honesty I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing, as I don't know what songs the drummer sang on. However, if any of them were Yesterday Never Tomorrows, then that's A-OK with me. Can't wait for a new album!

The drummer sings the very last song on their record. He has a really good voice, so I'm not too worried about it.
fleetwood mac is hands down one of my most favorite bands ever. oh, and i like the stills alright. good to see that some of the sea ray members are still doing music now that sea ray is no more.

Yeah, the last song is Yesterday Never Tomorrows, so I'm down. He does have a good voice, as thats the best song on the CD.

Before somebody is a dick about it and says something rude to you, I just wanted to point out its Logic Will Break Your Heart
Montreal has hands down been putting out the best music over the past few years. The Arcade Fire, The Unicorns, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, The Stills, The Dears, etc...

I can't wait for their next album.
I've been a fan of the stills since I heard a rough demo of the Still in Love Song a while back...but it was a bit disheartening when I saw a press photo of them when they were a ska band. Made me feel like they just do what is "in". Hopefully they've just progressed???
