I am, comfortably sitting...
on a park bench
uncomfortably thinking...
of a time when
everything was swimming
in a light fog
happiness abounds
from every little moment
sitting at the end of the world
I am, perilously sitting...
on the brink.
Comfortably thinking
of the days gone by
when the sky was blu
and all you said was true.
As the grey sky darkens
as the storm
as the storm comes in
I can see the world
as it truely is
see the little people
scurry from their warm beds
scurry up the ladder
clawing their way to the top
Oh! how trivial it all is.
when everything done
is suddenly undone
by the sands of time
see how the world
plays tricks on you mind.

this glass case we call a house
is keeping me away
and you are throwing stones
but to no avail
a little box in the corner
scream "DANGER! Emergency!"
"break in case of need"
so I broke the glass
and shattered your world
with a kiss
with a kiss
If you knew how it felt
to live outside the walls
you would never leave the comfort
of your sheltered home.

Where do all the lovers go
When the sun just won't seem to shine
No rain as yet, has fallen
but I can see the strain on the sky
No smiles in the clouds
just the damp grey
of a mourning mans eyes.
