I didn't come into this thinking anything but "maybe I can save a life tonight" and once I set myself a goal, a follow through, I did save a life that night. I don't really care what you people think, I'm putting what I truly believe out there. I know how to earn things. Yes I get what I want, but I don't just get them. i got a Chiodos tattoo because they've been my favorite band for 6 years now. But Lady Gaga has already made such an impact in the music scene, I wouldnt think twice about representing her in some way on my body. I also know if she ever seen it, she'd appreciate it just as much because that's the kind of person she is

It's like being a Slipknot fan and getting a maggot tattoo, an ICP fan and getting a Juggalo tattoo, or being a Grateful Dead fan and getting a tattoo that simply says "deadhead." Why would you do that? At the very least, get a tattoo INSPIRED by the artist and their work, not something that simply identifies you as a fan.

I don't even like Gaga, but she can play piano pretty damn well. She also writes her songs. Just because she doesn't write 'deep' songs that you enjoy like Rise Against or Thrice, why would you shit on other people for getting enjoyment out of her?

Such a clichéd position to hold. You are the sort of person who stops liking a band just because they get big and the sort of person who dismisses a band just because they are big. It's a shame because you are dismissing a huge amount of music.

Take the music for what it is, not by who it is from. Lady Gaga is a very talented musician and she is also an even more talented popstar. I do agree that there is a massive difference between someone who just churns out shitty pop songs and someone who writes their own music. If you look at Katy Perry for example, she started off singing gospel music (I think) at a young age. She has a great voice and that is something that I will always be able to respect.

You have to take top 40 stuff with a pinch of salt because there is a lot of shit in there but you cannot just dismiss it because it is popular.

PS: Dismissing a band because of the time they spend on the scene? Don't be so fucking ignorant. Shall I just ignore all of the first albums of bands from now on?
