On the surface it looked like they were dumping salaries but after you point that out the only reason I can think of is Webber wanted out or wore out his welcome.

Webber himself was supposed to make 80 mil over the next 4 years. I don't know the salaries of the 3 players they got but I doubt they are making anywhere near that much all added together.

This trade screwed me over. I had 5 bucks and slave work on the celtics taking the division. With Webber and Iverson the 76ers have to be the favorite.

yes they will, together, the kings did get ripped off...then again its a shitty trade for both sides, because either a. webber will land wrong and fuck his knee, ankle, anything below the waste up or b. he'll call at timeout, at a very crucial point in the game, then realize...SHIT we're outta timeouts, resulting in a technical foul, the other team shooting free throws, and his team losing....not saying this has ever happe...wait yeah i am...

well...it's philly so of course i'm expecting the worst, but at first look, this is a great deal for the sixers. they traded some of their older role players which will free up more time for the younger guys, and they got the perfect match for AI. They thought they'd get lucky with Glen Robinson, but with Webber, they have a pretty solid guarentee of 20 and 10 and a guy who can dish. Plus you can tell already that AI already loves him so he won't have problems dishing it to C-Webb...if things go as well as the look, this could be the move that puts them in the conference finals.

yea the kings got jewed (can i say that?) anyway, i was totally surprised the T-wolves didnt make any moves, and then they go lose to the clippers.....although i suppose they werent going the just get rid of them(sprewell, cassel) and get nothing......ahem kings.

the kings were not 'jewed' as you put it. it appears to be a shitty trade, but it's not. this improved their team chemistry ALOT. webber is kinda like iverson, they both have hard heads, and dont get along with some of their teammates. so itll be interesting to see how they mesh together.

for now it appers to have helped their team chemistry, mainly regarding their franchise, peja...however this will blow up in their face if he bolts to the lakers after the year. this was a last ditch effort to make things good for him there, so we'll see on both fronts.

no I think the chemistry is fixed with Peja and the Kings now that webber is gone so I believe Peja will be sticking around in Sacramento
