So I was driving to Chick-Fil-A for my break from work.
I was keeping my speed around 45-50MPH in a 40 zone. Not too bad, plus that's about how fast everyone goes these days.
Next thing I know, red and blue lights are behind me.
I pulled over, and then got slapped with a $237.50 ticket for going 50 in a 40.
Not to mention, that was the first time I ever got pulled over.
Soooo fucking pissed.
I was being nice and everything.
This pretty much sums up about how I feel right now.

you were speeding though dude. it sucks you got caught and that fine is a kick in the nuts, but you were in the wrong.
ive never been pulled over by the popo but i did get a speeding fine one time. it wasnt as much as yours though thankfully. i got breath tested once too

we have these things in australia called multinovas. they're speed cameras. the use radar or some hi-tech shit to measure how fast your going and if your speeding they take your photo and then you get the fine posted out to you. they suck.

iv been snapped by those countless times while on a moped but bcoz it doesnt have a license plate on the front they cant send me any fines =D

haha yeah motorcycle riders in aussie have gotten away with this for years. but theyve got this new one which can snap you from behind now after youve driven past it to get the rear number plate.

tru, that sux. I visited aus (gold coast) a month ago, it didnt seem like police cared much for traffic offences. Here in nz its insane how much effort the cops will put in to try and catch you.. they spend more time trying to catch speeders than investigating murderers

cops and speeding and getting pulled over are so fucking annoying.
my friend just got arrested, thrown in jail and had his license taken away over DUI of a controlled substance for vicodin. I mean, seriously? losing your license over vicodin? I was on it for three straight weeks this year. and for most of that time, I went about my business as usual, including driving around and going to work and such.

Yeah man. That does suck. I got caught speeding once. Instead of a fine, I have to do 2 days community service.
I'm not sure what to say about this, the pricing of the ticket seems a bit high. You may want to look into this situation a bit further. Good luck.

I got my first ticket for going 55 in a hospital zone. sucked. I had to be a bailiff for that court day so it wouldn't go on my record. I've been pulled over 5 times since them, but no ticket..haha.

You'd have a hard time getting pulled over in my town. The cops are either tards or just don't care. One in particular is severly overweight, has a bum leg, and if he pulls you over, asks you to fill out the ticket, since he can barely read or write.

same exact thing happened to me this summer, i was 12 over i think but the average speed in that area is 10-15 over. just ridiculous. oh georgia..

Question: does a warning make your insurance go up any?

I got a reckless driving ticket the day I got my license. Haha, it was out of stupidity since I was the first one with my license and I was with my friends. Went to court, did a day or two of community service and went to traffic school, and it was dropped and off my record fortunately.
Been pulled over a few times since then, no ticket.

Not to my knowledge. I got pulled over for running a stop sign, and got a warning, because honestly the stop sign was concealed and it's just in a shitty place. But yeah I got a warning, and the insurance has not gone up.
if any cops stop me all i have to give them is 100 rupees($2). yay!!!!!!:-)

AZ has these vans that park on the side of the hwy/frwy's that take your pic. I was driving home here to Copa a couple weeks ago and up ahead I saw like 5 flashes... Apparantly they're trying to get 9mil from us this year off them. They give you some leeway, but once you go over 13MPH that's when you get the ticket, anything under and you get a warning.
Really thinking about buying those license plate blocker things for when a flash hits it.

Dude the cops were i live are fucking wack. you could be going five over the limit and you would get a ticket. They even put my friends dad in jail for this huge thing just because he asked what was going on and they tried to say he was going to run over the cop. fuck that and fuck the police

i Once got pulled over for going 32 in a 30 zone. Luckily i new the cops girl friend sister and he let me go. I think he was just having a bad day.
