Fiction Plane

Fiction plane is a group from the UK, who I found because they opened for The Police on part of their reunion tour. The bassist and lead singer is Joe Sumner, son of Gordon Sumner (also known as Sting). I don't know really how to classify them. They're a bit of a modern alternative.
