Green Day are coming here in two months, and tickets are on sale today. They're about $50, which is pretty expensive. Anyway, my mom asked me if I wanted to go cause she'd buy me the ticket but: 1) I'm not Green Day's biggest fan, but I'd still love to see them in concert because I'd pretty much see anyone live cause it's fun. 2) I don't even know how they're live, and if they're worth that $50.
So I was wondering what you guys think I should do?

Well we all know my answer to that question.
I'm seeing them in May for the same tour, and all my friends bought tickets so I figure it will be a pretty fun concert. I'm not really a huge fan of green day, but I do like a lot of their stuff, and it should be a good show.
But I get free tickets, so it all depends on its worth to you.
im debating on the same thing. i like them alot but thats steep for a show. plus the venue is huge so theres no way i'd get really close. i think i may pass.
I really don't like Green Day.

i don't really like green day either.. and it will probably be at a huge venue as someone else said... i mean 50 bucks is expensive... but your mom is paying so.. idk.

I will never go to a big venue show, except for Warped Tour and stuff like that.

I'm trying to get my friend Paul to come with me, but he's going to the Taste of Chaos tour which was about $40, and he has to pay for it himself.
Arrrghhhhhhh. I don't like Green Day half as much as I love Sum 41.
And man, if I go to the Sum 41 show too, it'll be like $120 that I've spent on concerts only in the last 2 months!
We should have fucking elitistpoints..

Their new album was pretty good in my opinion, and I'm not the biggest "pop punk" fan.
i like both.... but i like green day more. they've influenced me more. they were the 2nd band i got way into.... so they have a special place in my ears. but i agree sum's last album kicked major ass.

Yeah most definitely go. My floor ticket was 35. I saw Green Day on Pop Disaster and they were absolutely amazing. Definitely worth it.

Green Day is very awesome live, I would go. I've heard Sum 41 doesn't sound very good live anyways, and musically they can't compare to Green Day, in my opinion.

haha holy crap.. the tickets were sold within 5 minutes. I don't even know if my mom's friend got them yet! part of me wishes she didn't so that I can go to the Sum 41 concert instead cause I'd drag my friend there.

Why dont you let your mom buy the GD ticket, then just buy the Sum41 ticket and go to both! The sum41 tickets here are only 20 bucks.

Well, if I can't find tickets on sale for the Green Day show, there's no way I'm going to pay more than $50 to see the show of a band I'm not even a fan of. I can spend that money on other concerts, like the Sum 41 concert, Sting..

oh eda, I'm in a very similar predicament as you. why must all these awesome bands come to canada all at the same time?
I'm not going to see green day, it's at the dome and dome shows are kinda sucky. plus, $50 is way too much for me seeing as there are about 4 other bands coming in april that I would want to see 19322347890734 times more than them. (...Trail of Dead, DFA1979, The Weakerthans, The Constantines, Hot Hot Heat, T(I)NC.....)
Go see Sum 41. I've seen them 4 times live and they always put on a REALLY fun show, plus they are some of the nicest and funniest guys I've ever met.
