Here's what I've been rocking to this week

Acceptance (http://www.acceptancemusic.com) - The retail version of Phantoms is like a whole new album. If you downloaded the unmastered, be prepared to buy it, because it's bigger, louder, and a lot of the songs are either re-recorded or re-mixed. Aaron Sprinkle once again proves he's the man.

Copeland (www.copelandmusic.com) - Jason is right - as it stands right now, In Motion > The Everglow. Sorry guys. Aaron's voice is just so incredible...wow.

Forever Changed (http://www.purevolume.com/foreverchanged) - I got the advance of their upcoming album in the mail and I've been really impressed. Check them out, their sound is hard to define...it's just rock, and rock done well.

Weerd Science (http://www.weerdscience.com/) - I can't get enough of the few demos I have...Josh has such insane flow. I can't even put it into words - I don't like a lot of rap, I don't like Gym Class Heroes, I don't like Atmosphere, but this project is legit. yeah, the lyrics are goofy as shit, but the beats and rhymes are mad tight...check it out. If anybody has more demos, let me know, because I want them. I can't wait to buy this CD in March.

The Velvet Teen (http://www.thevelvetteen.com/) - So, I'm creating a TV ad in my Marketing class for Jones Soda, and we're using a song of Elysium for the music in the background. That album is so incredible, they've matured so much...hell, they don't even have any guitars anymore. If you want to hear something completely original and honest, check out Elysium...it's one of the most beatifully constructed CDs to come out in years.

Here's also the obligatory Gatsby's American Dream recommendation. Volcano... April 12th. Pre-order it today.

Remember that show Weird Science way back when, with those two nerdy guys and that hot girl who was some kind of magic thing or something? Can't say I've thought of that for a while.

Also, apparently I'm the only one who hasn't heard In Motion.

haha, yeah, and more importantly, it was a great movie with Anthony Michael Hall.

But I haven't heard that either, or anything on that list in fact, but I guess that's the point of recommendations.

Weerd Science is pretty cool. Their website is fuckin awesome.

I haven't listened to Copeland in a while. But I really like the new songs. Love is a Fast Song is perfect for right now. I've had the absolute SHITTIEST weekend ever and its raining and that song just fits my mood perfectly. I like their cover of another day in paradise too. Nice rec. I completely forgot how good these guys are.

Haha I just saw the Gatsby's rec. nice to see them back on your list. lol.

Does the lead singer of the Velvet teen guest star on the new copeland cd?. I think its the song "Choose the one who loves you more" it hella sounds like him. I just thought it would be a weird coincidence if it was and you recomended them both.

I'm pretty sure that brand new didn't write the song Moshi Moshi.

Actually I think they did. "Am I Wrong?" is a Love Spit Love cover, but Moshi Moshi is original (at least I'm 99% sure).

Not even close to a competition in my opinion... Mae kicks the CRAP out of Copeland. In Motion is bland and boring, The Everglow is intricate, melodic and beautiful.

i absolutely loved beneath the medicine tree for everything it had to offer, but In Motion is completely carried by Aaron's vocals. It's a good CD still, but The Everglow offers so much more in my opinion.

well.... volcano > phantoms, but you haven't heard Volcano yet. Phantoms is seriously incredible though, and the mastered version is soooo good.
