Well this week I'm only recommending one band because A) it's all I listened to this week, B) it's easier for all of you to check it out if it's only one, and C) most of the time my recs aren't even read anyway, so there's no reason in wasting some if no one even looks at it.

Hot Snakes (http://www.hotsnakes.com/) - Automatic Midnight, Suicide Invoice, and Audit in Progress - I know it's a sin for most people to say this, but this is probably my favorite John Reis (Drive Like Jehu, Rocket From The Crypt) band. The problem is, I can't ever choose which album is my favorite. This is just straight up, punk influenced rock with no frills. If you've already heard of this band and love them, buy the new Peel Sessions cd (the 7" sold out in one day), but if you haven't, at least download "Hi-Lites" (http://swamirecords.com/downloads/mp3s/HI-LIGHTS.mp3) and see what I'm talking about. I don't think it's possible for a human to not love them. Enjoy.

Wow. This is the first time I've checked them out and I have to say I really like it. Something about it kinda remind me a little (very little) of Tiger Army. Anyway I like it.
