Hi folks,

I'm newbie here and I would like to know what you guys like in music?

Jazz is my kind of music.

I love to listen jazz-flavored numbers and also trying to learn jazz piano and in the world of jazz, Shaun Barrowes (http://www.shaunbarrowes.blogspot.com) is my favorite artist. I also like Classical, alternative, brit pop.

Well, what about you guys?

i still really enjoy a share of scene music, only the best bands of the bunch are staying in regular rotation for me, but lately ive been really into any pop-rock i can find that doesnt have a sound molded to fit "the scene" (i.e. lose the whiney/thin voices, lose the need to make it sound childish, lose the need to write cheeky or bitter lines about girls) because its catchy, energetic, and emotional while being totally refreshing to me.

i also am getting into a few indie-folk and indie-pop acts, especially the ones that use a lot of different instruments. sometimes nothing can add the right touch like a xylophone here or a flute there or a subtle accordion somewhere

the one that doesn't suck which is probably the majority of responses you will get.
