Yo sup peoples. I was sick ALL week! No fun at all...Bob from Sophomore (http://www.purevolume.com/sophomore) is helping me out this week.

The Unicorns (http://www.the-unicorns.com/)-I'm in love with this bands music. They make me happy. You can also download them here (http://www.negativebeats.com/t/the_unicorns/)

SOTHEYSAY (http://www.purevolume.com/sotheysay)-I put them in here all the time, but I want to remind you about them. If you havent listened, do so now. Big news coming from them VERY soon;)

Joshua Fit For Battle (http://www.jffb.com/sounds.html)-Hardcore band that I've fallen in love with recently, but they've broken up. Still a VERY good band.

Shall We Dance (http://www.purevolume.com/shallwedance)-Chick fronted band from St. Louis.

Secretary (http://www.purevolume.com/secretary)-Hardcore/Screamo band making big noise in the Tri State area. I love this band.

Bob's Recommendations-
Jeff Buckley (http://www.jeffbuckley.com ) - Grace - You've not heard a real
singer until you've heard this guy. He was one of the last true
singers who actually put their soul into the words he sang. This
album is a perfect portrait of the man. Too bad he drowned at age 31,
he could have could have changed music.

Fight Paris (http://www.purevolume.com/fightparis) - Man, this stuff is nuts.
I dont know alot about the band itself, I just recently came across
them. Its very chaotic, bordering some sort of hardcore/metal thing.
Rude language, chaotic music, lots of screaming.....LOVE IT.

Foo Fighters - The Colour and the Shape - One cannot express what this
album did for rock and roll. I would have sex with Dave Grohl if he
would let me. I really would. This album should go down in time as
one of the best from front to back. Just fantastic.

12 Summers Old (http://www.purevolume.com/12summersold)- St. Louis
pop/punk candy coated goodness. Perfect for music for kissing your
significant other to. Give it a listen.

Joshua fit for battle is amazing. I consider them more screamo, but to each his own. If you haven't checked out Superstitions of the sky do so. Its Josh, (from Jffb and Hot Cross) with Vadim (Marigold ex This day forward). I respect you for your choice and will be paying more attention to your posts.

Jeff Buckley was born in California's Orange County in 1966 and died in a tragic drowning accident in Memphis on May 29, 1997.

doesn't that mean he was 31?

jffb was such a good band during their time...i haven't broken out their 7" 's in a while, might have to do that soon. also check out neil perry if you get a chance...another band along the same early screamo genre and a very good band at that. i have videos of both NP and jffb from about 5 years ago when they played in philly...they were sooooo good.

Ah, nice choice with Joshua Fit For Battle (like many others said). I think I'll go put on To Bring Own End, haven't listened to them in a long time. Hell, haven't really listened to any of those bands in a while. Guess I'll go put on some Neil Perry, and Superstitions, and Saetia and maybe even some I Hate Myself while I am at it. Thanks for the good reminder. :)

The Colour and the Shape is an amazing album. I dont think I realized how great this album was when it first came out. It hasn't lost any of its luster. That cd runs the musical gamut....amazing.

Anyone else remember the videos for Everlong and Monkey Wrench?
