Which game was the better game, OU-Boise State 2007 or Texas-USC, 2006?

I went with SC/Texas because that was for the national championship and had bigger implications than the Fiesta Bowl.

both were great games. but it shouldn't even be close honestly. its texas-usc

I went the opposite, and while I understand the NC game thing, I prefer to look at the match-up. Boise St was supposed to lose by 30...whereas Texas may not have been expected to beat USC, but it wasn't out of the question really. The USC dynasty thing makes it a really tough decision though

eh, OU was extremely overrated that year, and the Big 12 was really down. I think OU would have lost to any team they played in a BCS game. It was a fantastic win and game for Boise, but, i just don't think it was THAT big of an upset, but a fantastic game.

Boise State/OU hands down. Sure, the USC game had bigger implications, but I've seen games like that before. It was a great back and forth, but there has never been anything at all like the Boise State game, just ridiculous. Best game I've ever seen.

I missed OSU/Texas cause the "Championship Game Party" I was at decided they'd rather go to my high school's talent show.
I am still very bitter about it.

The '02 Fiesta Bowl is a little miffed at the snub.

Oh god, the Miami-OSU, Willis McGahee's knee becomes 3 knees game?

I had $20 riding on that game with a friend, first time I've ever bet on a game, and that was devastating. That solidified my hatred of things Ohio

That game, for me, is more memorable than Texas/USC. I remember all the final plays in Boise State/OU, but all I remember about that Rose Bowl was Reggie Bush with the lateral and Vince Young being the world's biggest douchebag by posing with the crystal trophy like the Heisman after beating Reggie Bush's team. Made me hate the guy forever.

that was the first thing I thought of actually...then my next thought was USC going for it on 4th down, basically conceding that their defense sucked

This isn't even close for me. Boise-OU.

as sweet as watching USC lose was... BSU-OU was the better game. we'll never see ANYTHING like that again.

If you told me a hook and lateral AND statue of Liberty play would be used in the final 10 plays for Boise State...and that they would both score critical points for that team...I'd have laughed in your face before the game.

And yet...

I think that hook and lateral was called with time to go too...that was the key, OU didn't expect it until the final play, and Boise nailed them

i tried to flip my friend's car after that game. but i failed.

despite the outcome of that game being awesome, i still wish maurice clarett would have been aborted as a fetus.

The play that gets lost in the shuffle is the one where they took the ball out of Zabransky's hands and let a WR take the snap ON A 4TH DOWN IN OT.

i'm surprised so many people are going away from USC/Texas. a matchup what ESPN dubbed the greatest college football team ever against a one man wrecking crew. both teams undefeated, playing for it all. and it went down to the final minutes and a heroic effort by VY.

The Boise St. game could very well be the most entertaining football game of all time.

bump this just cause I watched this game again...and here is the end of just the 4th quarter

1:16 to go, OSU just scored to make it 28-26, going for 2. They run a fade, pass interference, run another fade, complete it, called back for illegal shift, go to run a 3rd fade, QB scrambles, completes in the end zone.

First play of the next drive, Zabransky throws a pick-6. With :54, comes on the field, completes a 30yd pass. Then, an incomplete pass, a sack, another incompletion, its 4th-and-18 and they pull off the hook and lateral to tie the game with :07 to go.

The best part is when Boise tied it at the end of regulation, the announcer says "I've seen it all"...oh how wrong he was

Then Adrian Peterson runs it in on the first play of OT for Oklahoma...Boise State fails on a 3rd and 2, almost fumbles it to lose the game, and then completes the 4th and 2 with a WR pass to the endzone. Goes for 2, statue of liberty, game
