for some reason whenever i would think of one of these bands, the other one would come to mind, maybe it was that slip E.P. of theirs, who knows. Its kinda like when you think of Circa Survive, Chiodos comes to mind also, or saves the day and say anything (that was kind of a poor example), its like tag-team bands.

anyways, who do you like better of the two.

and i wasnt comparing circa and chiodos, im just saying that anthony green and owens are always being compared, like Alternative Press had those issues come out where you could have gotten either craigs face or anthony's on the cover. Like a lot of people cant talk about one band without mentioning the other. I personally think Anthony is a lot better singer than owens, especailly with chiodos's newest album, it just sounds like hes straining his voice to hit those high notes.

thrice is my all-time favorite band ever so...

but thursday is amazing in their own right. i feel they get too much praise, especially a few years back and especially when full collapse came out and everyone thought they were the first band to play post-hardcore/emo/screamo/etc. when in fact they were far, far from it. but still. awesome band. thrice is just in a whole league of their own that only includes themselves.

i find thrice has been inconsistant with their songs. on the albums i find they would have incredible albums if they didnt have those 3/4 songs on their albums. thursday only has one song max on an album that is subpar

I agree Bob Dylan(classic songwriter) is better than Metro Station(a less then stellar pop band), substantially. and so would most people. But i can't say the same for Thursday, who isn't as head above greater than thrice as your above comparison. I don't think the majority(excluding this site) would see it as a clear choice as well.

Bob Dylan is better than Johnny Cash - Fact, and i like Cash just as much as the next guy and like i said i expect the majority to get it wrong. My point was mainly to say that people cannot hide behind "well that's my opinion and therefore it cannot be wrong". You can hold an opinion and still have it be wrong for many reasons (such as lack of knowledge or lack of taste) and i am speaking in generality here, not talking about you specifically (you have a radiohead avatar and i love them so you must have some musical taste.)
