are any of you guys on your schools? I am and i really like it, plus it makes me look indie/emo.

That was sort of what I did in High School. I've been on a newspaper staff since 7th grade and I was editor my junior and senior year. I even did all the UIL journalism competition and stuff. I liked it, but being editor was extremely stressful, especially my senior year, because my entire staff, except for one photographer, was first year. But nevertheless, I'm sure that's what got me into college.

the newspaper at my school is really good. i realized im nowhere near as talented a writer as some of these people so i gave up.

I was the co-editor of mine...they used to call me "copyboy" damn hoes. But ya, it was fun but very limited.

the paper at my college just talks about how police r now allowed to carry handguns cause of all the shootings and robberies we have on campus.

I was the News Editor my senior year. It made up for my lack of cool looking hair and girl pants. And the fact that I don't look like a pale 15 year old drug addict.

My school paper is pretty good. Last year they had a story on stripers and how its a "right of passage" when you turn 18. My current English teacher got fired from the paper after that ;) .

i am the features editor. whether the school likes it or not, i put all the music i listen to in atleast every issue to stop the rich fucks at my school from listeing to crap. when every student has an iBook filled with their music and we have a wireless network, leaving it open to take kids music, it pisses me off that i have to browse through the grateful dead, a tribe called quest, ashlee simpson and phish every time

i just got an offer today to write music reviews for my college's newspaper after complaining about the old music they always reviewed...

I make "guest appearances" in the newspaper. Every now and then I'll write a yellow journalism article, or an editorial. I kind of submit them whenever I want. And they almost always get printed. We don't really have a newspaper staff at our school. Most of the articles are from the journalism class we all take.
