good news for me: colts lost again, at 3-3 with the jaguars, and we're coming off a bye into the easy part of our schedule. we are still very much alive as an AFC south playoff contender at this point despite a usual division bottom feeder taking the top spot in the NFL as undefeated.

bad news for me: this week in fantasy fucking SUCKED, none of the players i started were on teams who were productive offensively.

really? i thought you were halfway competent before, but this kind of changes my mind. Hope you guys and the Colts have fun getting your ass kicked by that "usual bottom feeder" this year, we've already got one on you.

good win today fucker. Thank you for ending Croyle's career (with KC) at least like I hoped your team would do.

whoa man, i didnt mean to discount any success the titans have this year, their offense is solid all around and they have the best defense in the league right now. i just said that with regards to how surprising it is that the team is so good this season, because since they went to the 2000 superbowl they have been a bottom feeder. dont take offense so easily man.

i'm not taking offense, it's just the fact that your posts today have made absolutely zero sense.

we've been in the playoffs or playoff contenders the last two years. we had like 3 down years in between that and our SB contending runs in the early 2000s. 3 off years in 10 makes us bottom feeders? news to me.

well, as a jaguar fan im just used to the colts being the focus "team to beat" in our division and this is quite a change up.

i guess all you guys needed was a quarterback though since mcnair was lost. the running game and defense had been solid the whole time.

10/19/08, 05:24 PM
well, i'd like to point out that when us and the colts were atop the division (with mcnair here) you guys were doing a bit of rebuilding yourselves. that lasted a few years didn't it?

This obviously isn't the same colts team, or if it is, they just aren't near as good as they used to be.

There's not really an excuse for today's game. Last week was a flash in the pan for what will be a lack-luster season.

Maybe Peyton needed *3* surgeries to be back on his game?

oh yeah, when the colts dominated everybody haha. those were some sad years.

i feel peyton manning got all out of rhythm after having to sit out a preseason and training camp with the surgery. turns out missing those things is a bigger deal than anyone thought it would be.

I'm going to the MNF against the Browns in November. They better keep this up.
Coming down all the way from Ottawa for that? Insane. I can't wait for that game either.

Consider me crazy, but I'm still not sold on the Titans at 6-0. Their toughest game would have to be either Jacksonville in week 1 or Minnesota....I would expect 24 or more of the teams in the league to go 3-0 against Cincinnati, Kansas City and Houston. Probably about half of those 24 to go 4-0 when you throw in the Baltimore game.

Not saying they're awful, I just want to see a "statement game" from them next week against Indy to be sold on them.

Went to Seattle and Oakland, going to the Monday night game too.

As soon as I paid 50 for Seattle, 75 for Oakland and 75 for Monday night (200 for 3 games) I was like Fuck, why didn't I just get seasons? Would have been either $240, $320 or $360 for seasons where I would want to sit (Rockpile, scoreboard end zone, tunnel end zone).

I could...and I did...until they beat San Diego and played pretty well defensively without Schobel and McGee and with McKelvin still looking like a raw as fuck rookie at CB.

And I still don't think they're THE team to beat in the AFC, and I probably never will even if they went like 14-2. It's the cynic in me. The Bills fan who has been kicked in the nuts repeatedly since Jim Kelly retired.

No you can't. They destroyed the Seahawks, they beat the Jags in JAX, and didn't have much of a problem with the Chargers today.

I'm tired of people giving the Bills no credit. What the hell does it take, seriously? They are without a doubt one of the top 5 teams in the NFL.

Right now, Trent Edwards is arguably the best performing QB in the league. His play has been ridiculous.

Edwards is up there, but he's been outperformed. He's thrown only 5 touchdowns and attempted only 152 passes.

152 passes/5 games = 30 a game. Just means he's not gunslinging.

Actually it's 149 in 5 games if you subtract the Arizona game where he was 3/3 for 18 before Wilson knocked his ass out cold

Takes more than 6 games to prove your worth. Yes this was a statement game, and yes I think they are the best team in AFC East right now, but calm down with the ridiculous praise until you know...they make the payoffs this decade.

Be happy that they played great and are still flying under the radar.

Steelers
Giants
Titans
Panthers
Bills.

Okay, I'd still say Rivers, Warner, and Rodgers at least have outperformed him.

I will agree. I may be happy the Bills are 5-1, but I'm not giddy and getting ready for the Super Bowl or anything like that. I take the team for what it's worth. They're solid, they're playing well as a team. Nothing spectacular, and I will take it week by week.

man what im tired of is being "the toughest team ____ beat." its cool and all we get that respect but i would prefer the jaguars to be viewed as a contender rather than just a middle of the pack team who serves as a frame of reference to decide whether another team is the real deal or not. besides these teams are only beating us by less than a touchdown and thats when our defense is not at all performing like it is supposed to, what with the banged up secondary.

Wow....The hawks actually still have a chance in this game and they have been playing like absolute shit. I can't believe it haha

EDIT: Nevermind. we fucking blow. Our kicker can't even connect and he has been fairly solid all season.

We've accepted our lack of a football program.. that's why we all just tailgate outside the stadium.

As for the Colts and the fans, we don't even come close on the worst fans list. I've been to visiting stadiums and been treated like absolute shit for doing nothing.

glad to see the Dolphins are back to sucking

i felt like i was watching Mike Mularkey calling our plays again today. fucking awful. 3rd and like 11 from the 12 and you run it? QB sneak on 2nd and 10ish from midfield? WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT GARBAGE?!

and they need to stop going to the fucking wildcat if it doesnt work. it was clear that it wasnt working today and they kept at it

IcedOpethBlind

good to see theyre still underutilizing ronnie lol

xbrokendownx
10/19/08, 09:30 PM
eh i mean today the run game just wasnt there. they kept going back to it and kept running the wildcat when it was obvious it wasnt there. gotta change things up at least a little bit

they looked so fucking good on their TD drive and then went away from doing all those things the rest of the way. so frustrating

xbrokendownx
10/19/08, 09:34 PM
the one thing i will say though is Joey Porter is a fucking beast. thank god they moved him back to the outside this year. he has 8.5 sacks already which i think leads the league

he is absolutely dominant for stretches at a time

eh whatever. i had watched parts of their games earlier and wasnt impressed, but they did play very well today. it just seemed like Henning was totally caught offguard by some of the stuff they were doing and was unable to change in game

what a horrible performance from seneca wallace tonight. 12/23 for 73 yards a TD and an INT? holy shit. and two runs for 6 yards? what happened to scrambling seneca? also, why didn't they just make that dude a WR from the get go like all the other fast qbs? he's 5'11"

Scott Weber
10/19/08, 10:52 PM
seneca has a bum calf and can't scramble at all right now. so he's just a pocket passer right now and he's horrible when that's what he's forced to do.
