I'm surprised there isn't a thread for this yet. Tour starts tomorrow. Anyone going? I'll be at the show in Towson on Thursday. I've seen Copeland live a few times opening for other bands, but never really checked out their stuff until a few weeks ago, and I've really gotten into it. You Are My Sunshine is beautiful. Been a big fan of Lovedrug for a long time. I hadn't heard Lydia, but after checking them out, they sound real good as well. Pre-ordered the re-release of Illuminate from SmartPunk and got a free shirt (all for $10.50 - FTW). Anyway, should be an awesome tour and I'm looking forward to seeing what all three of these bands' setlists look like. Anyone going tomorrow or Wednesday, setlists for any of the bands would be greatly appreciated.

I was so in love when Lydia played "It's In Your Blood" - I haven't seen that song live in a good two years and it is definitely my favorite of theirs.

And Copeland closing with California was fucking beautiful. I agree, I could have used a little more BMT.

Lovedrug just about bored me to tears last night... Everyone else was great though.

Are they playing mostly new stuff now? If so, I'm not so sure it's going to be the Lovedrug I remember of old, when their live shows were amazingly good, and all of their songs sounded great. I have a feeling Lovedrug may let me down a bit.

I mean, I'm not expecting to hear Black Out/Spiders/Down Towards The Healing but it sure would be nice!

I really couldn't tell you. I've never really gotten into them. Two of the people I was there with (who both loved them prior) enjoyed their set, but it seemed really bland to me. But hey, like I said, they loved so maybe you will too. It just wasn't my thing. :-)

Blindsided1459

Just got back from the show in Towson. Great show - all three bands sounded excellent. The crowd was really chill, but it was appropriate for the show. Here are the setlists:

Lydia:
Exact same setlist as the one posted from last night's show

Lovedrug:
In Red
Blood Like
Only One
Doomsday and the Echo
Borrowed Legs
The Dirtiest Queen
Everyone Needs a Halo
Pretend You're Alive
Candy

Copeland: (almost the same as the one already posted - slightly different order)
Strange and Unprepared
To Be Happy Now
No One Really Wins
When Paula Sparks
Careful Now
Eat, Sleep, Repeat
Chin Up
Control Freak
When You Thought You'd Never Stand Out
The Grey Man
Not Allowed
Brightest
Pin Your Wings
You Have My Attention

Copeland did not play an encore, so no California. I was really surprised by Lovedrug's set. Really heavy on the new album, and only 1 song from Everything Starts Where It Ends. I wasn't expecting so much from Pretend You're Alive either. The new lineup sounded great though, and though I wasn't a fan of most of the new album when I first heard it, the new songs sound really good live.

Fantastic show. Lydia's set (even though I saw nearly the same one the last 3 times I've seen them this year) was fantastic. They really did add new effects and interludes with the songs and sounded better than I've ever seen them before. I finally got to see Copeland play a real headlining set (10 songs on an off-date doesn't count as a headliner, ha) and I wasn't disappointed. Although there were many, Brightest might've been my favorite moment in the set. Absolutely beautiful. Go see this tour if you have a chance, you won't regret it.

I'm not sure why they didn't play an encore. It was a little before 10:30, so it wasn't like they ran out of time, and plenty of people were yelling for one. My only guess is that the crowd was so quiet the whole show that they decided against it before going on.

Wow, is it just me or is that Lovedrug setlist weak as fuck? idk...."Everything Starts Where It Ends" is an amazing album, while "Pretend You're Alive" is soooo boring, I've only heard a couple new songs which I thought were good, but with a heavy dose of Pretend, and me not being a big fan of Lydia, and me seeing all of those Copeland songs live already with the exception of the new ones, I'm sorta glad that this tour didn't come near my are, lol

little before 10:30? tonights show in philadelphia starts at 9:30. I expect an encore and to end around 1. I also dislike the first two songs on this set list for copeland, I prefer suitcase song, on the safesdt ledge and should you return.

"Strange and Unprepared" seems like a really weird way to start a set. Kind of like when they opened one tour with a the slow version of "You Love To Sing". I enjoy a little more upbeat song to start off a set, like "Pin Your Wings".

Tonights show was fucking unbelievable. Chick from Lights is incredibly hot. Those pictures I've seen of her did not do justice. She was actually pretty good too. I liked her set. Lydia did an incredible job tonight too. Lead singer was spot on. He was flowing perfectly. Good stage movement, he did bump into a few of his bandmates frequently. Lovedrug was actually very entertaining. They put on a great performance. Good mix of harder and softer songs. I really enjoyed them. Their set left me wanting more. Next was Copeland. They were nothing short of amazing. They blew me away. They played California as an encore tonight. Words cannot describe how well they were playing. Aaron sounded perfect. I was expecting a lot worse from what I've heard and I can first hand say every bad thing said about Aarons live singing is false. He was hitting everything. I got to meet him after the show too. He was super nice. I wanted an autograph but didn't really have anything so he ended up signing the back of my ipod which was pretty cool. The crowd was pretty awesome. Good crowd interaction with the band members. It was a lot of fun. Great night. I took a bunch of pictures of Copeland that Ill put up if I can figure out how

Highlights: Copeland, Copeland, and more Copeland.

I was at the nyc show as well. I got one thing to say about lights. I think the only thing she does is sing on stage. Shes faking the movements on the keys as was the other guy. I saw the mac they had on stage, and looked at the waves of the spectral being show. IT was the whole backing track. They could have at least tired a little harder to convince people that they were actually playing their instruments rather than singing off a track on the computer.

Lovedrug were fucking amazing, so emotional because he said his gf just broke up with him, so he put so much heart when he was playing. Copeland blew themselves away, the vocals were spot on as was the sound. Lydia was also good, but I would have liked to hear more umpf from the gutiars when the distortion came on, I think they fell flat on that.

I took a bunch of pictures of Copeland that Ill put up if I can figure out how

his vocals have gotten a lot better over the past 2 years. i've seen some videos on youtube of this tour, and his voice is sooooo good. i'm glad you had a great time. i'm seeing them 2 weeks from today.

Aw poor Michael. But that means he's on the rebound! Lovedrug is always awesome. I don't think they get enough credit from people. They're fantastic musicians.

To tell you the truth, i never liked lovedrug before. I never could get into them, but last night sold me on them. I donno something clicked when I finally saw them. They really did play their hearts out. Its refreshing to see bands like copeland and lovedrug play their hearts out. You dont see that much anymore.

I'm kind of glad Lights didn't play in Richmond. Lovedrug's set was so insanely boring, and I know a lot of their material, it's just music that I find very bland.

Lydia and Copeland put out two of the best albums all year, and I'm only glad I could have seen them both on the same night.

From Mindy:

Seems like ive written more updates about us getting into freak accident wrecks that i have about anything else, but i'm starting to think that we are apparently cursed or something....really. Last night we were fortunate enough to make it out all okay after hitting a HUGE deer on an interstate in PA. It completely shredded our engine but luckily didnt completely total it. We are currently in a rental car on the way to our trailer to grab what we cant fit to head to Chicago. We're going to continue the tour acoustic and ride with the other bands until we can get our can fixed to meet back up with us. We're asking if ANYONE has a place for the other half of us to stay at their house for a couple days around New Columbia, PA while the rest of us continue on the tour acoustic....please let us know! and were really sorry to all the michigan folks :o(

was this from station 4 last night? someone was way up front taking video but i couldn't see them. I really want to see their video though ... i hope it appears somewhere.

All of the bands just killed it last night. I wasn't able to stay for all of Copeland, but Lights was great. I loved how small and intimate the show was, especially at the beginning of the night. As a guy coming into last night with a 'meh' opinion on Lovedrug, they absolutely blew me away live. It was great. Major props to Leighton, Mindy, and Steve for showing up and putting on a great acoustic show.

The show tonight in Portland was really good. I don't really like Lights or Lovedrug, but they weren't bad. It didn't seem to eventful to me or something as the others.

Lydia had to cut their set short so they didn't play "It's In Your Blood". It because they got on stage late. But they were amazing as I thought they would. Copeland was awesome as well. All of the set lists posted here are the same. Lights came out and played with Copeland for one song. It was great Copeland came back out to play "California". Ew. Wtf. Why did Lights play more songs than Lydia? That's just . . . wrong.

Well Lydia and Lights have the same amount of time to play (30 minutes). And Lydia has longer songs, and their intro is pretty long also. Lights songs are pretty short.

I just went to this show in San Francisco last night. We skipped Lydia and Lights, and saw a little bit of lovedrug perform. I just went to see copeland. That was my second time seeing Copeland and it was amazing! They sound soooo solid live, it's unbelievable, and with this new CD which is one of my favorites it was even better!! My advice..go see them!!

Lights was good, despite her being dressed slightly for the club or a brothel. But i respect anyone with a keytar.

Lydia was great. My friends didn't like them and i can't understand what wasn't to like, but they did a great job. They really highlighted mindy's vocals which was a nice bonus from her taking a backseat on the album for most of the time.

Lovedrug... i love the band but they bored me when playing their new material. They killed Doomsday and the Echo live and he played Spiders on acoustic. Both were great performances.

Copeland is so much better live than i ever imagined they'd be. Their instant live recordings always made me think i'd hate them live. Blew my mind. And they played California this time.

I wonder why Copeland didn't come out for an encore in SF the other night...? Maybe they usually don't.

I love those instant live recordings! California and She Changes Your Mind and You Have My Attention sound great on those instant live albums

the show was sooooo good last night. aaron's voice has never sounded better, and the band was so in sinc. my only complaint, after about 20 minutes during lydia's set i noticed that i was sitting next to a transvestite, very strange to say the least. but it was L.A. so i shouldn't have been surprised.

Hmm... maybe i got a bad recording then. I have one of them at the Granada Theatre. Their live show is a sight to behold though, let the record stand.

That's the one I have. I really love those live recordings. They've definitely stepped it up on this tour though

Yeah. Was definitely supposed to drive to San Antonio for this. Didn't go. Had already bought the ticket. Sorry guys.

I think I've reached the point where going to shows with 14 year olds is no longer appealing. . . :-(

I sucked it up and went to the Atlanta show by myself after every friend backed out at the last minute. Lucky for me all four groups made it well worth the lonely 2 hour drive. I'd list the set lists but it's pretty much what everyone posted earlier. I just wished Copeland had added "Good Morning Fire Eater" to the list.

Well I'm used to it since Atlanta is the only city near me that bands tour through. I guess I just need more friends with similar taste in music.

I'm going to the show in Orlando tomorrow so I'll do my best to get everyone's setlists. I would be going to the sunday show too but I have to do something else instead which really sucks because I already got a ticket for it.

Absolutely incredible show last night. All 4 bands were rock solid. Lights is insanely hot. wow. Lydia took a while to set up, but they sounded alright. Unfortunately, we were by the right monitor all night, so it was hard to hear Leighton singing, but Lydia sounded ok nonetheless.

Lovedrug absolutely blew me away, and I didn't expect much from them, even though I've seen them a couple of times before. Wanna know the best part? They played Black Out and Down Towards The Healing. AMAZING. They also threw in Theiving, Blood Like, The Dirtiest Queen, and maybe a couple of others I can't remember.

Copeland was flat out stupendous. Insane set. Pretty similar to everything else posted, and yes, we did get California last night. :) Made my day.

This should be in order for the most part. Note that California wasn't on the set, but they came back to play it anyway. Seriously made my day, and this was AFTER I attended The Gators' home finale earlier in the day.

yeah they played that in L.A. too...seems like they swapped it for "not allowed" halfway through the tour.

i'm guessing they will take a little time off, and then support a band on some tour.

I'm so glad that they did. Not Allowed is kinda boring to me, and I love OTSL.
