Myspace sponsored tour, I don't think it's really got a name, so how about the "No, Really, I think your braces look cute." tour.
I usually don't feel old at shows still being a teenager, but the SJ high school (& Jr. High kids) were out in full force on this monday night.
Doors were at 6
Pirate signal: 6:55-7:25
Chain Gang: 7:45-8:15
Innerparty: 8:30-9:00
3oh!3 - 9:20-?
The Pirate signal played first, just a rapper and a DJ, "honest, fun, sexy hip-hop" got the crowd into it.
standout track would have to be - "Hey, You Do what you do, just don't end up as a prostitute"
The Chain Gang of 1974 followed, basically sounded like 3oh!3 if they wanted to make a soundtrack for your local A&F store. It was cool, but got a bit repetitive. Got kids to crowd surf in that skating rink and got security even more riled up. That velvet rope barricade was not successful.
Innerpartysystem got to use their light show this time around, they didn't have a big enough stage last time I saw them.
Set:
Die Tonight, Live Forever
The Way We Move
Obsession
Heart of Fire
some interlude type thing
Last Night in Brooklyn
Don't Stop
Great energetic show, and 3oh!3's fans were into it.
Didn't stay for much of 3oh!3, but I know they opened with "I Love Rock & Roll" into "I'm not your boyfriend baby" and played "Rich Man" & "Punkbitch" before I got out of there.
The crowd was basically the equivalent of a warped tour small stage, lots of pushing & shoving, jumping & crowd surfing even though it was a relatively small venue.
It's a fun tour.
Definitely check out IPS whenever you get the chance.
