Alright, so the Recover/Armor for Sleep show was last night in St Louis, MO. Unfortunately(sarcasm) we had to miss the Moto X show a few blocks away.
Anyways, we get in a little late, because the Creepy Crawl doesn't like to let people in until about 5 minutes before the first band goes on, so we saw about half of Chase Pagen's set. What I did see, however, was very good singer/songwriter stuff. He reminded me alot of Bright Eyes/Owen-ish stuff. Definitly worth checking out.
Next up was Say Anything. It was obvious from the get go that either they had the most fans there, or the most energetic(and annoying) fans there. I thought this band was crap, and a waste of my 30 minutes and $10. I did not enjoy one bit of this set, and it was probably the most dreadful things I've ever witnessed. They seemed to play well. Don't get me wrong, they did not mess up alot or have horrible sound. I just did not enjoy their music, the way they acted onstage, their lyrics, their singer. It was just bad in my opinion. But alot of kids dug it, so go figure.
After Say Anything played, about 25% of the crowd vacated. Armor for Sleep came out immediately went into My Town, very awesome. They went through a set of about 8-9 songs, and it seems most were older tunes. I would imagine the split was probably 4 for the new cd, 4-5 for the old, but it seemed like alot more older songs were played.(Caleb or anyone else who was there, if you have a better memory than I, please help me out)
Recover was on next, but my ride was leaving(despite the fact he was making fun of Say Anything fans who were leaving before). So I do not know how Recover was.
Chase Pagen gets 6(of 9)
Say Anything gets 1 for showing up and completing a set
Armor for Sleep gets 8 for a solid set
Go see this show, alot of your probably like Say Anything, and Armor for Sleep rock the house. And stick around for Recover, because I didn't get to. Taunt me for leaving early.
