I was at the first night of this tour last night at Terminal 5 in NYC. I can't believe that no one's posted about it yet. The show was great, though I'm much more looking forward to the second show tonight, when they'll be playing In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth:3. But last night was a great performance. The venue was packed, and everyone was very excited to be there.

I saw a bit of The Color Fred's set, and was mostly unimpressed. He's not bad, but it was just eh, especially at a venue that large when you really just want to see Coheed. But what was amusing was that between The Color Fred's set and Coheed's set, they played Coheed songs. (None from the first album, of course.) I've never before heard a band's own songs played while waiting for them to come on stage.

Obviously, we all know the set list: they played The Second Stage Turbine Blade in its entirety. But playing the whole album did not take the hour and a half they had available to them to play, so after much yelling from the fans, they came back for an encore and played one song each off the other 3 albums, saying, "here's a preview":

1. In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth: 3
2. Welcome Home
3. No World For Tomorrow

That was awesome and was a great way to end the night. The crowd was really excited to hear them play those songs, too, and In Keeping Secrets was especially awesome.

Sweet review. But from now on, put your reviews in the official neverender thread.
