there's someone floating in the atmosphere
with their face intense as they feel down here
fingertips swirled with clouds as we're
dancing along the patterned pier
which you caressed so sweetly with your tools
but you engage me in your misted rules
and my colour sinks into tiny pools

flowing in lace formation
it streams between the slotted boards

there's something clogging up my creases,
in my palms and fingers in tiny pieces
that fall into my grasp as it releases
a lucid liquid that increases
as i play with it from hand to hand,
let it fall heavy, swimming with sand,
wrapping around each other in silver strands.

tinted froth from crashing waves,
stains the beaches with my vibrant waste.

there's someplace waiting to be strewn,
with my essence when morning clicks to afternoon,
and the sun falls like a pinholed balloon,
the air gushes out and whistles a tune,
for my shadow to sway to when obscuring buildings so tall,
or rippling fields or gliding on a ball,
until it sticks upon a red brick wall.

my dappled skin in patchwork greys
is wearing thin with all this wind

there's something diving off the tips
of my fingers as i catch what drips,
i trace my edges with colour that slips
in and out of focus when it's stroking my grip,
but i press it on the grainy bricks,
around my sagging shadow so it sticks
until i have my border, polished and thick.

Youve worked pretty hard on the rhyming and, to be honest, it actually works really well. Good job.
