Never really considered you could have all these feelings at once until tonight.

I was in Dallas at Baylor Hospital visiting my grandfather today. On the way home (around 9 at night) there was a truck 15 yards in front of us with a trailor hooked up. All of a sudden you see sparks fly out and his entire back wheel, rim and all, comes flying off into the other lane. A car driving in the opposite lane struck the wheel and sent it flying towards us and we hit it going 70 mph and no telling how fast the wheel was going (Scared).

When I get out of the car I realize that if the rim and wheel had only been 2 or 3 inches higher it would have gone through the windshield and surely have killed me (Thankful). The car that lost the wheel decided for whatever reason to not stop. He kept driving, probably didnt have insurance, and the highway patrol never found him. That means that my family and the other family that was struck are forced to pay for the damages themselves. This idiot had no idea if anyone was hurt or not, but he didnt want to get in trouble so it took the gamble and left (Angry).

How can he drive without a back wheel?

It's good to hear you're safe though. That had to be scary as hell. A friend of mine got hit with a tire through the windshield a few years back. He's got permanent brain impairment and is just a shell of his former self. You're lucky, man.

i'm guessing he had double wheels on the back, so he still had one. Yes, I fell very lucky.

When I was 15 my dad was taking me to school and this guy side swiped us and then drove off really fast. It was pretty scary because I was on the side that he hit.
