Provides exceptions for medical emergency or parental waiver.

For that. Voted for it. And against the same-sex marriage (Prop 8).

I'm still a CA resident but just go to school out here.

Voted against it. As well as Prop 8.

Obviously vote against it. Anyone who is for abortion, yet wants parental notification, is retarded.

I think we've seen throughout modern history that when you block people from abortion, they will find (extremely unsafe) ways to circumvent the law. Case study: Brazil.

I'm voting no on this one.

While I can see the logic behind it in that it's a little crazy to think someone can't go on a school fieldtrip without parental consent, but can have a medical procedure performed without them even knowing, overall I find the prop to be a bad idea. Odds are that, if we're dealing with girls who would get an abortion without informing their parents, this prop isn't going to cause a sudden surge in pregnant teenage honesty. What it will be more likely to cause is girls taking hot baths with a coat hanger and a bottle of vodka.

In short, I will be voting against this prop.

Exactly. I already voted against this and against the gay marriage ban through my absentee ballot. I understand the argument of like "if underage kids need permission to go on a field trip, they should need it for an abortion" but the more honest and powerful fact is that 1) these kids could be forced into unwanted pregnancies, parenthoods and fucked up futures for themselves and their offspring 2) a ton of them will run down to Mexico or look up abortion methods on the internet or other fucked up things like that so they don't have to tell their parents. In the end, it's just going cause way more shitty outcomes.

Obviously I'm in the minority here, but I'm voting for it. If the provisions are followed through on, then it seems pretty reasonable.

Hoping that 4 and 8 go down, would be a damn shame.

How exactly are people allowed to vote on whether people should have rights?? Fucking insane. In four years I propose voting no on prop 12 - should black people be able to vote?

Passing as of now, though. Pretty significantly.
