Early November Update From Jeff

The Early November (www.theearlynovember.net) have posted their new demo "Decoration" on their pureVOLUME.com (www.purevolume.com/theearlynovember) site. They also posted the old demo of "Everynights Another Story" from 2001, which they'll only have up for a month. Things are going well in the studio, with only a few drum things to do and then they move on to guitars. Stay tuned for more details soon.

Both of these demos seem kind of plain and unmemorable. Granted, they ARE demos and so I probably shouldn't expect too much of them- Straylight Run and TBS have set the bar high, however.

If I look further into that, though, I reason that SLR and TBS had terrific demos (Follow The Format is better than any track on Where You Want To Be) and both produced what I thought were really average albums. So, hopefully, Ace and the crew will pour out some subpar demos and give us a hell of an awesome album.

I dunno, the harmonies in that demo were horrible- the final version sounds much better, in my opinion.

i thought the exact same thing, in fact i was really disappointed in the final result because i had heard all the demos and most of the songs off the EP were better as demos, but they were still pretty good

The only songs that sounded better as demos are All We Ever Needed and Ashala Rock...alot more raw and energy and just rock to them but besides that that EP is one of my favorites to date as for as EP's

Ack, I agree. Straylight Run's demos were incredible, but the album really wasn't much special. And "Follow The Format" is definitely better than Where Y ou Want To Be. But I've got a bunch of The Early November's demos, and these posted aren't their best.

oh trust me. quality will far surpass quality. everyone can mark my words. and TEN are one of the hardest working bands out there. they WONT disappoint. they'll more than pull off a triple disc full length. ..and for those skeptical about decoration-- just go to plyrics.com and read the lyrics. read into them a bit. it seems like theyre about today's industry. sadly, its kinda true

decoration sounds alot like the academy is for some reason. maybe how they break down the verse. deffinetly not nearly as good as the academy tho. maybe the final cut will sound better.

originally, back in like, october or something, when the i can make a mess CD wasn't going to be released..the early november were going to make the i can make a mess CD one of the discs on their full length. but now that the i can make a mess CD is in practically EVERY music store i go into these days, who knows

I like 5 years better than decoration but both sound good and are really catchy.
Love TEN. Have to get the acoustic ep though. Although I have them mp3's I want to also have an original copy! I urge you to do the same if you haven't! :p ;)
