As Promised, New JamisonParker Song

JamisonParker (www.jamisonparker.com) have posted a new song titled "Slow Suicide" on their pureVOLUME.com (http://www.purevolume.com/jamisonparker) page. This song is off of the band's upcoming record Sleepwalker, which hits stores in late May.

yea, i'm impressed. these boys came from simple pop songs to something completely different and a lot more mature. i'm now excited for this album to come out.

Yes, they're signed to Interscope(for a while actually, about 2 years I think)

and I'm a little dissapointed, but maybe it'll sound better when I burn it, I only listened once.

I love Jamison Parker and I love the new song.

I'm just hoping that they don't turn into Corporate Heart Throbs like The All American Rejects.
The AAR started out the same way and then BOOM they were lost forever.

I'd still like them, but if I ever get a chance to actually see them play live I'd rather not have a billion pre-teens clawing my arms and shoving me to get closer to the stage so they can get 700 shots of of jamison's "tormented soul" with their camera phones.

But thems the breaks. I wish it were May already....too many good albums this spring that I'm too impatient to wait for :love:

yeah, i definitely dont think they are anything special talent-wise, and they don't bring anything new to the table. he's got your typical whiny emo-kid voice, the music isnt anything really creative, their lyrics aren't anything special. So I really don't know what it is, but for some reason im in love with their mediocrity. Maybe it has something to do with that my first time hearing them was live?

Definitely a step into fully evolving as musicians and to me this should just be the beginning because if the first song they officially release is the best then they may need to go back into the studio. Can't wait for this album for it will at least be worth the money.

yep. it's interesting hearing this song alone, without the rest of the album .. especially knowing the song that comes next (which is fucking damn good) .. but it's a good indicator of the pace, and style and theme.

I remember hearing this demo back in august in a bedroom and the lyrics stuck with me so people saying this song doesnt have lasting power dont know what they are talking about. I know that its different from their old album and i think the best way to look at it is to think its a new band and i personally think they take influence from bands that not a lot of current bands take influence from and it is refreshing to me. to the kid who was mocking them for using suicide in the title maybe go and listen tot he lyrics or the interview where jamison states its not about killing yourself and explains the meaning more. and all i have to say is high five to tate cause he knows what hes talking about wiht this band.

Something about them stands out to you, which is awesome but dont knock the talent. These kids know what they are doing and will only progress from here....trust me, come May you will all be suprised.

I don't mean they don't have any talent. I just don't think that the talent they exhibit is much more than a lot of bands out there tight now. I also think most of the talent lies on the Parker side, he's pretty excellent musician.
