It was going to take a lot to impress me going in, seeing that this is absolutely one of my favorite songs, and he didn't deliver. I didn't like it at all. :headshake

I actually plan to check out more of your stuff, if you like Konstantine well enough to cover it you've already got me on a personal level. :thumbsup:

Yeah, that's how I felt going into it. It's been a favorite of mine for so long it would've had to have been virtually perfect for me to really like it.

Good, but I don't if this song could be topped. I listened to the first 2 min. Seems to lack the emotion that Andrew has put into it.
However, when your page loaded, the Revelation song that started to play was ok.

i dont think its quoted that much, but then again i dont know, anyways my favorite line is .... "i had these dreams, in them i learn to play guitar, maybe cross the country, become a rockstar"

we all seem to agree that covering a song like konstantine: a. takes a lot of guts and b. is extremely difficult to do. but focusing on the original material, i think Benjaminharris has a really good sound great lyrics to go along with it. if you guys like what you heard, check back soon for an updated track.

I understand it's just a cover & for fun, but there are a lot of wrong notes (both vocally and on the piano), and in some parts you're singing in almost a compeltely diff. key
like the solo stuff though, pretty cool

I dont claim that the cover is good, but I know that the majority of AbsolutePunk.net is going to look at my myspace page now because of that song being so popular and hopefully like my actual songs. So therefore this post has some value: that mabe people will find some music that they enjoy.

I understand where you're coming from, but the majority of these biased websites "hate" bands that cover songs. I must say you're lucky to have gotten a post on here, because they ignore 7/8 of them.

I agree with everyone else, nice attempt at Konstantine, but no-one's ever gonna top the original, it's still my favourite.
However, really like the rest of the stuff, glad I got the chance to check it out!

This is pretty much just repeating other people, but I'm not a huge fan of the Konstantine cover. The rest of the music is pretty good though. A cover song with that much emotion is almost impossible to do as well as the original.
The timing is completely off.. I don't know if that is supposed to be some sort of "creative alteration" or whether he just really has a bad ear for how many bars Andrew actually plays in the song. I also didn't realize that people could submit news to this site about music they record in their spare time and put on a mySpace page. :headshake

yeah the timing is completely off in the verse, try using a click track next time even if the cover was just for fun, and also the chords in the chorus aren't right. maybe you were trying to put your own spin on the song, but it really really doesn't work with "Konstantine".

Yeah i sounds like one of the singers is sick ...... although I did manage to listen to it for more than 20 seconds unlike the shitty constantine cover.

Why are folks even putting their covers on the Internet? The whole purpose of a cover is to give crowds at concerts something that they know the words to so they can sing along. They make sense at concerts, but not on purevolume or myspace.
