Was found in the bathroom of her apartment Thursday night. She died of an Oxy-Contin overdose. I don't know what to say or how to feel, but I feel pretty bad. Over the years we didn't really talk as much
If any of you are addicted to them or know someone addicted to them, please get help. It's a terrible feeling knowing that her friends weren't there for her.

that's awful. I'm really sorry to hear that and I'm sorry for your loss even though you hadn't talked so much recently. it's always tough and just weird to hear about people you knew dying.

Thank you all for your kind words. I appreciate them.
I felt bad by even posting considering we weren't exactly best friends, but I posted mostly because I know there are people out there with friends in this same situation.

a really good friend of mine from college i found out died a few years ago after mixing prescriptions with alcohol one too many times. he used to do it all the time when we were in school and was sort of a pro at it, so it was kind of shocking to find out that he ended up accidentally OD'ing. It's really sad, he was a great guy with a bright future. :(
Can you get the pills she didn't use and mail them to me by any chance?

don't even feel bad for posting it. I'd be pretty shaken up if I was in your position. I know senior year of high school, there was this boy in my grade who died in a car accident. he didn't even go to my school anymore and I hadn't talked to him since middle school and it was still a big deal to me.
hey sorry to hear that, i know how you feel, i only just came back from mass and during the announcements i heard my friends name, so anyway i later found out that he died the day before cause of the drinking and he was just 19. i mean seriously, how much do you have to drink for your liver to get fucked by 19, i dunno maybe the parents were hiding something else but as fas as i can remember he was never into drugs. so including him, 4 of my school mates are now no more.

I can sympathize with you. My freshman year of college one girl in my grade was founded dead in her dorm room. Toxicology report said she OD'ed on xanax and oxicontin. So awkward going to the funeral over fall break; first time i had seen kids in my grade since leaving for school.

dude I'm so sorry, that really sucks. it's always so horrible to hear news like this cause too many kids die so young, and it's even worse when it's someone you knew.

i worked at a rehab and oxy was a horrible withdrawal. which kept many using. you need a proper medical detox to successfully stop.
sorry to hear about it. sad thing it happens everyday

What a terrible way to go. I wish people would learn that drugs are not the answer.

it's unfortunate that your friend died. personally, i haven't touched it in a year in a half, but it's bad shit if used excessively.

i know how you must feel.. a few years ago there were 8 kids from my school who died in the course of little over a year.. sadly people will probably keep bringing it up if they hear about it.. but its something you have to embrace
