Foo Fighers - The Colour and the Shape

Popped this in today for the first time in a really long time and I realized how great of a record it is.

Favorites are Everlong (duh) and New Way Home. This album makes me want to write music lol. I don't really listen to that much stuff that sounds like the Foo Fighters anymore, but this album is still fucking awesome. Forever a classic.

First album ever bought. Still listen to it quite frequently.... My Hero and Everlong are my favorite, if I had to choose.

A mint album! It's the only Foo Fighter's album I'd actually put on to listen to. Like you said, a classic. I still always skip the first track. When the album came out, I got it from my brother and he said the first track was dumb and so I skipped it. Eight years on, I'm still skipping it. haha

I like Doll. :-( Ahhh well, I can see why someone wouldn't like it, but the album (to me) feels like one of those albums where its like a puzzle, and all of the songs set everything up for eachother, if you know what I mean.

One of the best Alt-Rock albums ever. Also, how in god's name are they alt-country? They have probably four songs that have an extremely slight country sound to them. They aren't an alt-country band.

Monkey Wrench, Hey Johnny Park, Everlong, My Hero were all great. The 10th anniversary edition of the album was great too. Too bad Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace was kinda disappointing.
