hey this may sound gay...but if your in a metal band or band that screams all the time can you help me out?
ive been screaming the only way i know how in my band...but i think my throat is bleeding or somthing and it hurts fuckin bad....so i think i might be screaming the wrong way...because look at bands liek as i lay dying and they do nothing but scream like every night....am i doing somthing wrong? any advice? thanks..

Ha you need to scream from your stomach not your throat.
isn't it from your diaphragm and not your stomach?

i'm just remembering this from grade 7 band so the chances of me being so completely wrong are quite high.

Like someone said, you're very young and if you just started then you wont be doing so good. It takes time and bands that do it every night can do it because they built up their voices over years of touring and just playing shows on the weekend.

NO don't listen to this "Build up your voice" stuff, DO NOT use your throat, you'll just end up like the guy from Piebald.
What I mean by build up your voice is that take time and that it takes practice. As for the not using your throat, I know thats true and you're supposed to use your diaphram and fill your lungs with air and crap.....anyways, it takes PRACTICE, you wont get it over night. Thats what I meant by build up your voice.

Take a choir class, and that will teach you how to sing, which will help you learn to scream, because the same rules apply.
