I bought What It Is To Burn. I don't know why, I think I just bought it for the fuck of it. I liked it, but it got old and I traded it in. I've been wanting to hear it again though. I don't know, I'll give the new stuff a listen but I'm not excited about this release at all. It has to be one of the gayest album names ever and they just made their fans wait too long for their new album. So I agree, the album will either have to be one of the best of the year or they'll be shot to like Simple Plan level...just not as popular. I just hope it's nothing like Worms of the Earth...

last thing I listened to by them was the cover they did with the Rx Bandits of "Message in a Bottle". I'm a little uneasy about this CD. I kinda wish they had just tried to quickly release another CD like What it is to Burn. It would probably sound like generic screamo but it worked for them the first time. They were better at it than a lot of other bands. I'm sure the new CD will be interesting to say the least.

i made a comment the other day about spitalfield sticking to what they knew. finch should have too. they were good at what they did. then they cancel a shit-load of tours, start to record, wait years to replace their drummer, make their fans wait for any kind of update from them on what the fuck is exactly going on, stop recording, switch producers, grow their hair out(in the case of derek, he finally got rid of the bushes that were growing on his head), and then give their album a shitty title. to go along with the shitty title, they give a shitty promo picture.

valid opinion, but i disagree on the chino being offkey. chinos range is like no other. i have seen the deftones 3 separate times, and chino is dead on with vocals, and i think it is especially great since he can still hold a great range (knife party) and throw down (7 words.)

of course, i dont think nates voice sucks in anyway, cause performance wise, he is one of the best vocalists. he has alot of energy, a great range, and is pretty crazy live.

You can't force creativity, and along with that they switched producers because Trombino wasn't what they were looking for (to put it nicely), had a drummer switch and a label switch. I know it has taken a long time but all the bands I like always do take forever because its about the sheer quality of the music and not rushing an album out there to make a quick buck. This is their second album, which a lot of people look at as the most important step in the growth of a band, they wanted it to be right, and I'm glad they took their time. My patience is wearing thin but I know when I get the album the end result is all that will matter to me and I could care less about what any of you think because in my mind this record is just for me.

if they have anything to do with it(which they probably do) they probably will change alot of Finch's crap around, I think that when they kicked out alex way back when they should of just threw in the twoel as "Finch" and started a new band with the same members under a new label so they could have more creative control!!! i dunno this is all rambling but i jsut think that this cd will be bad cuz of Geffen.
