"brothers & sisters!!!

no news in a long time. no new record recorded. what happened?
first up, we want to apologize to everyone who has checked in on our
website, and time and time again has not found any news and/or updates.
we
want to apologize to all of our friends out there who care about our
band and the new record. Please believe, when we said there will
be new information or even a new record soon, we really believed
this at the time. We just tried to share any news we as a band had at
the time, but the truth of the matter is this:
this new record has been scheduled to come out for over 6 months now
and as of yet it has unfortunately not even been recorded.
there has been different scheduling problems, and for a while every
plan we've made has fallen apart for one reason or another. but we
wanted to share
this with you:
BOYSETSFIRE is still a band.
we parted ways with our management company as well as our label wind-up
records and we believe it's for the best of all parties.
we were not comfortable with bending our music and/or message in any
way due to what other people believed would make us bigger than we are.
to compromise our vision of this unit was not a choice.

we have new shows scheduled in the US and in Europe (check the dates
section on this
site!) and we are very excited to (despite our
disappointment that the record isn't out yet) play and see our friends
all over the world. the new record has been written for a while and we
collectively love it and believe in it...we hope we find a way to
record it sometime this spring/summer and then release the
motherf*%#er.

we are working on a new website this very moment and we will have news
regarding that and the record and further dates soon!!!

it doesn't matter what could've happened, all that counts is that we
are stoked
to go out and play and be a band and be happy.

we wanted to tell each and every one of you that we would be nothing
without your undying support and belief in us as a band. we
appreciate it and hope to add way more dates in the tour section so we
can come somewhere near you and bring some of the new songs to your
doorsteps.

thank you for everything,
boysetsfire

read about this a little earlier.

good on them, it's good to see a band stick to their morals.

Wish more bands would do this and not give in.

And the awkwardness of them being on a nu-metal label comes to a close. Whew. That felt good.

Good deal boys. At least they are willing to take risks than other bands, more will power makes more closure or something like that...they'll probably sign to vagrant or victory. lol

Shouldn't the title of this post be "Boysetsfire to management and label" instead of "Boysetsfire part from management and label", sorry im just being ridiculous.

I was just listening to one of their songs yesterday (as if you care). I never liked Wind-Up either.
