First off this is old news.

Secondly:

this is NOT true, despite it being widely reported (and included in the Shiny Records press release). They didn't receive a letter from THE Michael Jackson, they received a letter from a Michael Jackson. And the copyright issue was not a copyright infringement but rather the difficulty in acquiring the copyright for a simple name such as Jackson. Jackson United was much easier to copyright so rather than fight a losing battle Chris and the guys simply changed the name.

Oh Man!!! Chris Shifflet is totally my favorite guitarist of all time!!! It might sound lame to have a favorite guitarist, but I just can't help it...coincidentally, my other two favorite guitarists are named Chris (Fogal formerly of the Gamits...and Cheney from the Living End)...

But Shifflet's been untouchable for me ever since he was in No Use For A Name...and now I get to hear him in so many other bands...what a badass.
