smart man right here.
Amazing band, only "mistake" I think they made was appearing in the movie Crazy/Beautiful haha
I mean, as a band that got on other band's asses for not being "punk rock" enough and for a band that successfully stayed under any kind of radar during Epitaphs (IMO) golden years, appearing in a Kirsten Dunst movie just....doesn't seem too punk rock haha
Also, Much The Same, Knockout, I Against I, The Swellers

I also really enjoy the only (I think) album by the band Boxer, The Hurt Process
great punk-pop band on Vagrant, I think one of the first Vagrant releases actually, quality isn't super great, but awesome hooks and killer melodies

of course I do haha, Not The Same is in my top 15 favorite songs ever.
But yes, they make solid albums all around. You are lucky you are from AU, I'm sure you've seen them quite a bit.

Frogball
Is that Frogball from MA? They're from the town right next to mine and are pretty popular in the local scene around here, but I didn't think they had spread very far beyond that.

Yeah it is. They probably haven't. I heard about them on another forum and got into them because of the demo haha. Great band and hope they get bigger.
Teenage Bottlerocket is quickly becoming one of my favorite bands.

They're pretty badass. I played the first show at their house when I was in Stymie on our Spring Break tour. It ruled. They are a great band. I need more of their stuff though. I only have their demo.

you guys are throwing out great bands. i've played with the swellers, transit, title fight and tiefighter. they're all awesome. A Wilhelm Scream is from my hometown, they rule.
Energy isn't really my style, and same for a loss for words, although their acoustic shit is way better than anything else i've heard from then.

I guess The Johnstones could kinda be classed as pop/punk.. although they're kinda more ska/punk/grime.. either way, they define talent.
They're my favourite band.. really amazing and put on the best shows.. they're from Ajax, Ontario and they're getting real big now so wherever you live, theres a good chance that theyll play somewhere near you sometime soon. I just thought Id get the word out there because seriously, not nearly enough people know about them. They have a huge fan base but it should be even HUUUGER!! and they're really funny dudes too..definitely worth going to their shows.. you'll probably have the best time of your life at a Johnstones concert. Yeah so you guys should all check them out for sure!:)
http://www.johnstonessex.com (http://www.johnstonessex.com/)
They're AMAZING!!!! And they're playing at the Stomp Records Tour in Montreal on December 5 and in Toronto on December 6.. I dont know if there are any more dates scheduled.. but yeah theyre myspace is always updated so www.myspace.com/thejohnstones (http://www.myspace.com/thejohnstones) will inform you on that matter..
haha so yeah i hope you guys love them as much as I do! (you will;)

Not exactly an accomplishment, not much better, and all (including metro..) not pop punk bands.
